Classic Brands Cool Gel vs Tuft & Needle Original

I researched a lot, tried out tons of mattresses, and in the end decided to get a [Novaform 14" Comfort Grande Plus Memory Foam Mattress]([URL REMOVED] I was influenced by [this NYT Wirecutter article]([URL REMOVED] as well. The mattress has been great so far. Even though they mention it's on the firm side, the top layer is still plush enough to feel great. The edge support isn't the best, but I don't care, except for rare moments when I am sitting on the edge

The washable mattress cover is a plus though we have not taken it off so I can't speak to the ease of that, yet. I do notice some depression in the bed now but it's very slight, we're due to rotate at this point. So yes this is medium firm but as a side sleeper I'll say it's about perfect. No pressure points

Tuft & Needle may just be too firm for me. :( I cannot return it because I purchased through Amazon and the 30 day trial has passed. I want to love this mattress, I think the company has the right idea and is reasonably priced. So at this point, for me, it is an acceptable mattress at a reasonable price

I love this bed. I have never actually tried a cooling gel bed that worked so I was initially confused as to why I wasn't heating up after my naps, it was the bed! I seriously love it, I am comfortable and best of all, I am not overheating and throwing the covers off every 10 minutes.

TLDR: So-so comfort, too hot for us. Just okay. Like many folks, I did my fair share of research prior to purchasing a new mattress. The thousands of positive reviews convinced us to give this mattress a try, plus I was impressed by the reported excellent customer service and ability to return it if it didn't work for us

i have two twin XL adjustable bed bases under my mattresses and they've never given me any trouble after sleeping on them for 7 years. Hubs and I are wide bodies weighing more than we should and furniture isn't made for obese people in mind but I have to say Classic Brands products stand up to it. when I needed a new mattress for my side of the bed I looked to see if Classic Brands still made a mattress identical to the one I bought 7 years ago and Hubs is still sleeping on. They do and I ordered it getting it last month

I didn't wake up in the middle of the night at all. I was cool all night (Granted I had a 17" box fan blowing directly over me) and the only time I got hot was when my lady friend came over earlier. I'm usually a very hot sleeper and people who complain about the heat of this thing should invest in a fan. Even without the fan it was very cool at first, but it did start warming up slightly after 30 minutes or so of laying in the same spot - but it wasn't that bad

1. Way cooler than the old memory foam topper. I set my thermostat to 58 at night as i sleep hot. I was always removing covers in in the middle of the night because of the heat retained by the memory foam topper

NOT ENOUGH EDGE SUPPORT. I’ve lost another 15 pounds (I’m 205 now) and my butt still sinks to the bed frame when I sit on the edge of the bed for more than a couple minutes (which I do a LOT). If I reposition myself to a new area I get another few minutes but I’m always moving around searching for a new spot. I like to sit on the end of the bed and play video games with my son but I don’t sit there for long because it becomes uncomfortable

I just got a Tuft & Needle Original queen mattress. Buying and unpacking experience was just fine. Good ship times, easy to get set up, didn't take long to 'plump' out.
