My Mum is 102 and has hearing issues. This phone did not help. Ended up buying a landline phone with better volume control and much, much larger numbers.

I have 90 minute conferences so it is a challenge to hold the phone to my ear for that long. On my Uniden I used a headset which was really workable. Panasonic does not make a headset so I am trying to use a good Plantronics noise-canceling headset as I did on the Uniden phone and the connection for it is a joke on this phone. Most people cannot hear me well and I don't hear them

My mom has a Captel wired phone for hearing impaired but it is not near her bed. The Captel works great, but is not convenient. She can't get out of bed and across the room fast enough to answer the phone, so everyone stopped calling. I bought this phone in the hope that she could hear on it without her hearing aids and it would help her be more connected to family who can't visit now because of COVID-19

Fortunately, no mounting hardware is included. Rather, instructions (in fine print) say to use mounting hardware that is suitable to the location chosen for the bracket. In other words, don't mount this to dry-wall unless you use moly-bolts or something equivalent; the base weighs enough that most screws would be pulled loose from dry-wall after a short time. Volume boosting feature seems to be a marketing feature more than anything else
