Chrome Industries Hondo Backpack vs Evergoods CHZ 26

I've been on the search for an affordable, commuter-friendly backpack and this is the one! I love that it has a good amount of structure and the straps are very supportive. It is also very water-resistant, so I don't have to worry about my laptop or papers getting wet. This has been very comfortable to wear as a petite person!

Overall It's a great bag for urban and commute and it'll keep you valuables safe. Made by Thule means its going to be one durable backpack that will last for quite a while.

To finish up this section, we also want to point out the water bottle pockets you’ll find on both sides of the bag. We’ve been able to fit a Hydro Flask Standard-Mouth Water Bottle with Flex Cap 21 oz inside, but it’s a tight fit. Like we touched on earlier, we have to fight against this fabric to get anything larger inside, as it’s not elasticated or very flexible.

There is a nice slot for sunglasses that is protected and another compartment for smaller items and a spot for pens and pencils. Lastly, I love that it has a side pocket for a water bottle. This is great for work, school, or travel. Really functional, lots of storage, and really durable

Couple that with the foam on the back panel and how it curves to fit your upper back, and you’ve got a recipe for an exceptionally comfortable carry. The pack sits high up on your back, fitting snuggly against your body. The HDPE (plastic) frame sheet gives it the right amount of stiffness without being too stiff—it’s like carrying a firm foam pillow. We took it on a brisk hike for a few hours, and it never once felt heavy, even packed full of snacks and extra layers of clothing

It’s made getting slightly larger objects harder to get in my pack. Second, I absolutely hate the design of the drink/side pouches. It doesn’t fit my Nalgene bottle especially well, especially when I’ve first loaded the bag with my laptop and other gear. The drink pouch does not expand at all, so when the bag has some items in it already, I can’t fit my Nalgene

This bag is large and spacious, and I love the water resistant exterior. Like another reviewer had mentioned, it does have widely spaced shoulder straps. However, there is an adjustable chest strap between them that helps keep them securely fastened together so they don't slip off my shoulders, and that gives me a feeling of security and comfort while wearing this backpack. Overall, this is an incredible bag that is well-constructed and I expect it to last me for years to come
