 that's why I went with the red one. Now the next one is the blue and green cherry Mx switches. These are clicky ones. See, you can hear the clicky sound

 Of course on the black one, I can press it and halfway it turns on and then it bottoms out. You can't see this on the video, but it does feel like I have to put a little bit more pressure on it, which is something I don't like because I don't want to fatigue my fingers too much when I'm typing. I want it as light as possible while still functioning. so that's why I like the red one more than the black

 Again, this is a little bit too heavy, but maybe for people with really fat fingers or a heavy hand they would want it to be heavier so that they don't accidentally activate a switch. Typists kind of like this clicky one, but if you're in an office environment, you really don't want this clicky one because every single key you press is going to go click click click. You might annoy some of your coworkers, so you might not want to get a clicky one for a office environment and go with something that doesn't click, just maybe a tactile or even the red. like me, I have a feeling this green one is probably malfunctioning a little bit because it's supposed to activate right after it clicks

 Companies usually have to pour either on the left side or in the middle, sometimes on the right side, but not just 10 millimeters off. The center keycaps here are a nice lightly textured double shot Pbt set. This is great for avoiding any fingerprints and smudges and stuff like that. We still do have that regular Corsair font, which is still kind of a bummer, although they do include this cool looking radiant space bar with all these triangles and that too is textured to the touch like you can feel the actual design

 Having an extra 7 taxing rate on your Cpu really just is not worth it at all. And in their Iq software, it is set to 1000 hertz by default. So you do have to go in and change it to Ak and it will alert you like hey, Pc might take a hit because of this. But while we're here real quick, let's just talk Iq because it did seem to get a facelift

I just got diagnosed with carpal tunnel, and I’m looking for a good ergonomic keyboard to help with it. I’m completely ignorant when it comes to keyboards. I’ve searched through a lot of the posts on the sub, and it seems a lot of people recommend the Ergodox EZ. I still have a few questions though:

1) That’s the one I’ve seen the most, but I’d like to hear other suggestions if you have them. I’m looking for something than can be physically split (like the ergodox can), has padding for my wrists, and can be/ has an ergonomic bend where my wrists don’t have to bend too much (something like the Kinesis Advantage 2). What would you all recommend?

2) The Ergodox has all the keys in a grid instead of shifted like normal keyboards. Would this make it hard to type?

3) What key switches would you recommend? I’ve only ever types with laptop keyboards (which I guess are called membrane keyboards), so those are the ones I’m most comfortable with. What key switches would be similar to that or help me with carpal tunnel? 

4) The mini quiz on the Ergodox site suggested kailh copper or kailh silver. Would those be good for my needs or have a similar feel to a membrane keyboard?

If any of you could answer any or all of these questions I’d really appreciate it!

Ducky One 2 TKL vs Leopold FC750r? 

Popular mech keyboards are kinda hard to come by where I live, but I’ve been eyeing the Ducky One 2 TKL for a while now (been waiting for them to restock in my local store’s ecommerce for like a month now). I’ve heard that Leopold has excellent build quality and the FC750r is the only one locally available in my country (only became available a few hours ago) and mechanicalkeyboards.com doesnt ship to my country. 

Which one is overall better? I like that both have some built in cable routing since I dont have a lot of desk space. I’m still leaning towards Ducky since I’d prefer to have some sort of backlighting as I normally type/play in the dark, but it’s been out of stock for a while now and I have no idea when it’ll restock. The Leopold’s micro usb cable also makes me lean more to Ducky since I’ve heard that usb-c is much better and more future proof.

So I've been using an Apple aluminum keyboard for years and years and bought a Ducky keyboard looking forward to the joy of mechanical. And cause I came from apple, I am used to using Ctrl in place of the alt key and what I realized was the Ducky's Alt key isn't aligned with the X button [as you can see here](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/e1/Apple_Keyboard_with_Numeric_Keyboard_9612.jpg).

What I am wondering is if there are any mechanical keyboards out there with a longer alt key that is aligned with the x button above it. I can't go back to using my pinky to hit ctrl. Just feels weird!

I was wondering which one would you all recommend? I’m more interested in a hot-swappable TKL for coding since it’s going to be more for research and coding than gaming and it being hot-swappable would let me search for the best switch for me. Also, going TKL over full because I’ve read it’s more ergonomic and I’m recovering from a shoulder injury. Just ordered a Leopold FC660C. Want to get a wood wrist rest for it but the size is a bit in the middle of standard sizes.  

Etsy has a couple of folks who make them in custom sizes.  Width isn’t a problem but what is the height to the top of the front of the case?

Or if there is anyone selling them already sized right?

I really don't know what to pick,  Epomaker GK88XS, some board from Keychron, but I read some kinda bad reviews about lots of them, and the most expensive option being the Logitech G915 TKL. Which should I choose? Or there are any other options? Thanks!

Bought a switch tester to try and get a better sense of the type of switch I'd like, and I'm looking for advice and recommendations based on my initial impressions.

So my main goal is to get a relatively quiet board with a satisfying typing experience. At first I thought this meant getting a silent linear, but I've found myself second guessing. Here's a breakdown of what I've tried:

- Gateron black: Pretty good. Feels smooth with some body to it.
- Gateron red: Also alright, comparable to black but a bit lighter in touch.
- Gateron brown: Not a fan, has an empty/scratchy feel to it that vibrates too much.
- Gateron blue: Actually my favorite feeling switch of the lot, really satisfying feedback.
- Gateron clear: Least favorite, feels way too mushy.
- Gateron green: Comparable to blue, but I don't like the weightiness/height of the bump.
- Gateron yellow: Not bad, I like this alongside the black.
- Zealios: Way too heavy, my fingers would get tired typing on this.
- Tealios: I like this better than the Zealios, comparable to gateron blacks IMO.
- Gateron silent black: It's good, but feels a bit wobbly and mushy.
- Gateron silent red: Similar to silent black.
- Gateron silent brown: Pass.

Judging by my desire to get something quiet, my mind is telling me that silent black (wish I could try the silent ink blacks) or something of the same silent linear style switch would be the way to go. However, I keep going back to the gateron blues because it feels so good to press - but it's too loud, and I need something quiet for night time typing and when I eventually go back to the office.

Are those two characteristics usually at odds with one another, or could I look into a nice silent tactile? Wasn't a fan of zilents when I tried them on my friend's board as I think they're a bit heavy, but I've heard good things about the U4 Bobas. I've also heard good things about the silent alpacas, are those closest in feel to the silent blacks?

While he is working at home, I've
noticed he has a cheap worn-out
membrane keyboard on which he types

Logitech wireless mech keyboard, keys double press all the time. I never spilled or anything, any way to fix this with out totally dismantling the thing?

I got my first mechanical keyboard this week, the anne pro 2. i intended to use it with my laptop, connected via usb. no issues plugging it in, however, after i shut down my laptop and start it up again, the keyboard is not recognized by the laptop, which seems to be an issue. I have googled and there doesn't seem to be a 100% fix to this issue. i tried changing the BIOS portion, tried installing the second latest firmware then latest firmware, changed the usb cable, but they all do not work. I suspect the issue is with the disk drive. cos whenever i start up my laptop, i check the devices connected to it and the anne pro 2 usb always becomes unrecognized/have an error/failure upon start up. i have no idea how else to fix this (a suggestion was to update the firmware which I tried but still didn't work). i am honestly quite disappointed. i had been deciding between a few 60% keyboards before deciding on this and watched/read a few reviews, but didn't see anyone mentioning such an issue. does anyone know of any other way?

So it's my first time dipping my feet into this glorious world and I ended up going with the grey/blue Leopold FC750R with silent reds off of mechanicalkeyboards.com but I'm having trouble finding a matching usb cable that would pair with it color-wise.

Anyone using this have any suggestions? The DIY route is my last resort as I have a disability that makes working with my hands rather tedious. Thanks for any help!
