This one got all warped out of shape within the first few weeks. I had to take it off and hammer it back into shape. Fourth the thermoplastic shelves don't seem to have any resistance at all to heat.

It's a little hard for temperature control, however, it's my first charcoal grill so I think it's a i need more practice. Took me 20 mins to put together and great portable grill.

After that the temp slowly started climbing. When it got to 280 deg, I did my first vent adjustment. Fair warning, a little goes a long way in terms of adjustment. Over shooting both to the up and down side is easy to do

The Kamado was still 200°F , I opened the vents and within 15min the temperature raised to 400°F, cooked the pizza for 20min, closed the vents and 4 hours later, the Kamado was still at 200°F. At the following day I checked the charcoal and still had about 1lb. Incredible, well you have to consider here in Panamá the average temperature is 86°F. I already have one of those big 300lb beasts of a kamado cooker and wanted something easier to fire up and clean for a quick 2 person dinner or a few burgers and this seems to fit the bill. There are similar all ceramic mini-eggs out there, but they are pricey with smaller cooking surfaces and super heavy.
