Price was good. Most times I look for inexpensive non metal watches. The m6uhvcThis is right in there for a good every day watch. Still don't hear hourly chime

This is a simple workman-like watch. It keeps the time, has a stop watch, has a simple alarm function, and is waterproof enough for me to wash my hands all I want. I tried a smartwatch and just didn't use any of it's features. I can get messages on my phone and a watch that inaccurately counts my steps does not make me healthier

My son likes it. It saved his money and looked around for the perfect watch. He liked the features on this. The worse thing was a few weeks into having it the band came out of the watch face, but we popped it back in with a little work

This is a basic watch and I love it because it gives me the time , date, green light at night , alarm , and is comfortable. Price is great as well.

Cheap, rugged, accurate, 10 year battery life, and 100m water resistance; what's not to like? I collect inexpensive (mostly Chinese built) watches, but all previous ones have had my preferred analog displays and few of them could begin to match the performance specs of this watch. I treat them kindly, keep them away from water, and change their batteries every 1-2 years. Be sure to ask for a discount at your battery replacement place. I take in a dozen or so watches at a time and get the batteries replaced for half their normal charge

 Enter the Casio Men's W800H-1AV. Fifteen bucks or so, accurate (I set it from and check it against my Casio Wave Ceptor), 100m water resistant, and 10 year battery life! With those kind of specs, who needs solar or Atomic Clock updates? I understand why it has such a long strap, but I found it a bit irritating. A few seconds with a sharp knife cut it down to a length that doesn't wrap around my wrist and flop out on the other side. But remember: "measure twice; cut once!"

Great Watch!  Just trim the band to your length!

I try to live simply, and this is the watch for me. It checks all the boxes: cheap, durable, accurate, no excess features, long battery life. Bought one roughly 4 years ago and rarely took it off. It survived showers, pools, and summer vacations to the beach

 The Vivo active 3 is like attempting to be like an Apple watch or like a Galaxy wearable. Where it's it's just not quite what I put this. it's just not. It's not good

 So it brings me to the Garmin instinct. Uh, first thing I want to talk about is comfort. This thing is a pretty darn comfortable watch. It would be on par with any like G-shock style watch

 I was able to figure it out without instruction. It just takes trial and error which is kind of annoying. But one thing I do like is when I you have it on the fitness setting that you're gonna use the most. You hit the button once to go to the next setting which is fitness

 If you go to their website, it's like twice as much as that. So just do the bargain hunting. Find the Garmin instinct. If you're going to get one, find it for way cheaper if you can

  The battery life is incredible, as long as you're not running the GPS constantly. I've gotten ten days on one battery charge with intermittent, manual GPS fixing while hiking in extremely remote places.  The watch face is serenely simple. One of the best adventure watches on the market, with one serious design flaw

 The heart rate sensor will still work and activities will still be tracked. The time can even be set and updated directly from built-in GPS, without having to rely on a phone. This is not something that can be said of a Pebble 2 or even an Apple Watch. If you want to buy this watch as a super rugged G-shock type of watch but with great heart rate and activity monitoring, with the option of one day going completely independent of a phone or app, this is also a great choice

 I also want to be able to quickly pause/unpause my podcast and raise/lower the volume occasionally.  Other thoughts - watch faces: There are 12 watch faces, but really only 6 since half of them are inversed colors of the other 6. Each watch face allows you to customize the complications. I use the default watch face, which allows for the time with seconds (although there's no PM/AM indicator), and 4 complications

 I believe there is more functionality if you were to use an Android phone. My Pebble 2 used to have replies, but with the shutdown of the servers, that's a thing of the past. There is some functionality with Rebble (the service that tried to resurrect Pebble's services), but again I believe that's more developed from an Android phone. For notifications that actually need a response or interaction, I just pick up my phone

 You can customize the metrics that display for each workout, and it gets extremely granular for people who want to zero-in on exactly what they're looking for in a workout. This is a serious fitness device, but I really just want to keep an eye on my current pace, total distance, time elapsed, and the current time. I also want to be able to quickly pause/unpause my podcast and raise/lower the volume occasionally. Garmin Instinct - weekend review.  Replaces my Pebble 2 and Apple Watch Series 4

 The initial set-up options and instructions are very simple follow. The watch faces are customizable and let you put as much or little info you want in the main face format. You can then decide what other options you want to access from each button. For example, I have 5 different things being displayed on the main face, and then the short list of things I want are available, each button having multiple options of your choosing to scroll through

Perfect watch for the outdoorsman

 The Garmin instinct is the one I chose. It doesn't look as fancy as the Fenix models, but the Instinct is so much better as a practical smartwatch for the price. The Vivoactive 3 is terrible compared to the functionality and durability of the Instinct. The Instinct does not have a fancy touch screen, but it makes up for it in terms of features

Summary: I was looking for a Garmin watch to use with Garmin app workout group. I order several different models, including the vivoactive 3. The Garmin instinct is the one I chose. It doesn't look as fancy as the Fenix models, but the Instinct is so much better as a practical smartwatch for the price
