  Folks, this is a $42 wrist watch. And I think it is an incredible value for $42. So here are some thoughts and comments:  First, the nylon band is quite comfortable, much more comfortable than the resin bands found on most of the Casio G-Shock watches. The band seems stiff at first, but in short order it will soften up and contour to your wrist

  On the down side: The the leather ends that attach the band to the watch are pretty much completely worn out, but the fabric looks essentially new. I don't think it is ready to fall off my wrist, but the band is starting to look a bit shabby.  After 4 years of hard use and abuse it is time to replace the strap and possibly the battery. As I mentioned in my initial review, the cost of a replacement cloth/leather band and a new battery come quite close to the current price of a totally new watch (about $38 today)

 The timer, barometer/altimeter, alarms and displays are all still working as they should. The alarm is still loud enough to wake me up when needed. None of the functions have failed. The watch is still waterproof (I have not replaced the main seal/gasket)

Good, rugged and comfortable watch

 It's not a good choice if the main thing you want to be able to do is glance at it very quickly and see instantly what time it is. That said, the buttons work well and it looks like it can take some abuse. I've had lousy luck getting Timex watches to last, so if this proves to be durable, it's probably worth it even though I paid extra for features I'll never use.

the thermometer is useless because you're supposed to have the watch off of ...

 So, I tend to not wear it when I am warmer that comfort allows. The back-light lasts only for what seems to be 1.5 or 1.0 seconds, I find myself pushing it more than once to see the items I am wishing to see

Exactly what I needed/wanted in a digital watch

This watch is smaller than the 50 mm I expected but the quality look and feel makes up for it. I presume they measured side to side including the sensor on the left side of the crown. Numbers are smaller than expected in the face of the timepiece but clean and clear. Strap is 100% great

 I replaced the battery and it worked for about 12 hours, then died. I replaced the battery again, same results.  Since it is past the 1-year point I'm not even going to bother contacting Casio. From what everyone else says it would be a wasted effort

 This is what costs 400 English pounds. Which you know by today's standards is it's not a kind of Super League Rolex Omega Patek something like that, you know, or even long Jean but 400 pounds for a small watch like this I think I think is a reasonable amount of money for somebody to to spend on a dress watch for occasions and you know, anniversaries, parties, whatever so you know it's not cheap. It's far from it an expensive watch, but I do think you get an awful lot of class for your 400 pounds that that's the the big thing I Like about this watch, it says a lot about class and quality, yet it's is actually quite an affordable timepiece. so that's the face you've seen the deployment clasp and the lovely leather alligator pattern strap

 Now this is a real bonus on this watch. I'm about to show you when I turn it over, look at that. You have a semi exhibition case back where you can see the balance wheel and kind of most of the movement and you have this absolutely exquisite case back and it says a mechanic's automatic which I think is a lovely kind of touch. Just brush the dust off and left lock with a small crown or fleur-de-lis and there's some patterning down the side and then it gives you the 30 meter waterproof and Gliss sapphire which I think is lovely because obviously both sides are sapphire glass so it's anti-scratch But you know, just have a look at the Hat and you know I'd like your comments on this because I think for 400 pounds mid range dress watch I think that's exquisite I I haven't seen that on expensive watches

 that's it's on the wrist there, which kind of gives you a real sense that it's yeah for a thirty nine millimeter watch and she looks quite a lot bigger. And it's it's a noticeable noticeable watch. it's an eye-catcher and like I say with that beautiful dial, beautiful case, back, sumptuous leather strap eye on the fact it's a para Matic eighty movement so you're 80 hours of of reserve is really says a lot about this watch, and it really says a lot about if you shop around what you can buy for four hundred pounds. So please give your comments

 something I wouldn't necessarily buy, but um I Bought this recently about a week ago now and not really my kind of watch. but once I picked it up I had it in my hand look to that I just I Love this. It's a really nice watch and I I kind of get it now. it's a it's a dress watch

Tissot Le Locle review

 Around 600, I think this is one of the better options for a dress watch out there. Good dimension set just being over 39 millimeters gonna wear true to a 40 millimeter case. Uh. Finishing is very solid both on the case itself, the bracelet uh, but primarily that dial does add some nice just flare here and then you have that 80 hour power reserve Swiss Powermatic 80 movement which is occupying itself within many of Tiso's offerings and going to provide a nice set and forget it type of wearing experience, being one of those entry-level position watches to get into this Powermatic 80 family and then also speaking to this blue dial version, I think this is my favorite so far

 This is going to wear on the wrist very similar to a 40 millimeter case. You do have a thin bezel, so this is going to add more to the presence of that dial. With that dial, the bezel ratio the lug to lug, although is going to be rather broad for a watch of 39 millimeters, it does have these lugs that are going to cascade down towards the wrist and help guide that bracelet to not add any additional length to the top to bottom. Wear of the watch itself with 10 millimeters of thickness here should have no concerns when it comes to sliding underneath different dress cuffs and with this blue dial, it is going to marry that nice middle ground of some casual upside in the process

 Now on the case itself, it is going to be predominantly polished on the front-facing surfaces including the bracelet and then on the side you'll have a nice vertical brushing pattern that adds to the elevated look and feel and offering up some different patterns and reflective surfaces as you move the watch underneath the light. the crown is positioned at the Three O'clock and is going to be signed with the Tiso T set between 19 millimeter lugs. the lock is equipped with a seven link bracelet that lies somewhere between the World of Jubilee bracelets and a beads of rice tapering from the lugs to a 16 millimeter in sign hidden dual deployment butterfly style clasp. And then we'll look at the positives because there's certainly I think some things to think about on both ends

 I think when you look across the board, it's what Tiso does very often and that's just creating no-nonsense well-positioned Swiss-made watches for the price. And that's exactly what this watch is. Around 600, I think this is one of the better options for a dress watch out there. Good dimension set just being over 39 millimeters gonna wear true to a 40 millimeter case

A Great Swiss Dress Watch At An Affordable Price Point - Tissot Le Locle Powermatic 80 Blue Dial

I love the 50's-esque design of the logo and the modern version of the art deco look on the dial with the clean lines. My first automatic over $150 was a Tissot, but I went with their Le Locle. I almost got the Visodate and very well might in the future.

At this price range, I like to recommend the Tissot Le Locle Powermatic 80. Got that clean dial, some texture to keep the dial from being "boring", classy leaf hands, etc. 3) a fun piece, or a half grail. Go for something that catches the eye

 Keeps perfect time especially when worn daily. The power reserve is excellent but of course like any automatic watch it loves to be worn consistently. First Tissot but definitely won't be my last. Really can't imagine a better looking/ working automatic watch at this price point

Absolutely love this timepiece! Waited a year before writing this review to determine how well this watch would stand the test of time and it passed with flying colors! It's been worn nearly 7 days a week the entire time I've owned it and it's been smacked into plenty of door frames along the way but the crystal has remained immaculate and while the case has sustained a few scratches its still functions perfectly. Absolutely accurate. Keeps perfect time especially when worn daily. The power reserve is excellent but of course like any automatic watch it loves to be worn consistently
