  Folks, this is a $42 wrist watch. And I think it is an incredible value for $42. So here are some thoughts and comments:  First, the nylon band is quite comfortable, much more comfortable than the resin bands found on most of the Casio G-Shock watches. The band seems stiff at first, but in short order it will soften up and contour to your wrist

  On the down side: The the leather ends that attach the band to the watch are pretty much completely worn out, but the fabric looks essentially new. I don't think it is ready to fall off my wrist, but the band is starting to look a bit shabby.  After 4 years of hard use and abuse it is time to replace the strap and possibly the battery. As I mentioned in my initial review, the cost of a replacement cloth/leather band and a new battery come quite close to the current price of a totally new watch (about $38 today)

 The timer, barometer/altimeter, alarms and displays are all still working as they should. The alarm is still loud enough to wake me up when needed. None of the functions have failed. The watch is still waterproof (I have not replaced the main seal/gasket)

Good, rugged and comfortable watch

 It's not a good choice if the main thing you want to be able to do is glance at it very quickly and see instantly what time it is. That said, the buttons work well and it looks like it can take some abuse. I've had lousy luck getting Timex watches to last, so if this proves to be durable, it's probably worth it even though I paid extra for features I'll never use.

the thermometer is useless because you're supposed to have the watch off of ...

 So, I tend to not wear it when I am warmer that comfort allows. The back-light lasts only for what seems to be 1.5 or 1.0 seconds, I find myself pushing it more than once to see the items I am wishing to see

Exactly what I needed/wanted in a digital watch

This watch is smaller than the 50 mm I expected but the quality look and feel makes up for it. I presume they measured side to side including the sensor on the left side of the crown. Numbers are smaller than expected in the face of the timepiece but clean and clear. Strap is 100% great

 I replaced the battery and it worked for about 12 hours, then died. I replaced the battery again, same results.  Since it is past the 1-year point I'm not even going to bother contacting Casio. From what everyone else says it would be a wasted effort

I just recently picked up this Glycine Combat Sub from another redditor. The pebbled dial on this thing is amazing and I think its definitely my favourite of the combat sub variants. It brings a bit of a Black Bay, Submariner, and Explorer vibe all thrown together for something that is extremely eye catching.

 It's been through some slight abuse, you know. I I Don't wear this on the daily. it's in my rotation. But overall I think the watch is held up really well

 Now the bracelet itself just uses friction pins if I can get it to focus which I mean I Would have preferred to have screw pins but these do the job just fine and then you have some nice micro adjustment here on the clasp. The clasp itself is signed Glycine. You have the fold-over security and then you have a dual trigger deployment and are really nicely milled out clasp here which looks and sounds very solid. That bracelet does taper a bit to you, it's from 22 millimeters at the case tapering down to about 20

 So I can't really say that any more that this is a homage to a to a Rolex Glycine did a good job with designing this watch and it definitely stands alone. Now if we've flipped to the side and look at the case profile again, one of the hallmark features about this watch is how thin it is and also look at how the lugs just they just drape down and they just will hug your wrist so well. and I really love that oversized crown. and when I say that I mean like the crown height is about the height of the case of the watch or do you - the bezel

 Note that the bracelet does have solid end links which I do appreciate and the fit as well. So let me show you how this stock bracelet looks on wrist and here's the wrist shot guys! So as you can see I just love how the case just turns down and hugs over so well. And now that I finally have a stock for so I just think it completes the look. It's just very seamless and very versatile and a great summer watch now that we're getting into the hotter months in southern

  As far as accuracy: I have several automatic watches both with the 4R36 and the nonbranded NH35 movement. They tend to run 3-4 minutes slow a week. Even my MIJ Turtle runs about 2-3 minutes a week slow. The Sub runs about 35 SECONDS a week fast

  Where the rubber meets the road: I bought a Strapcode Super-O oyster band from Amazon for just under $60 and in looks and comfort the combination is phenomenal. If you want to see for yourself go to the Amazon page for that band, there are several pictures of other shoppers' Combat Subs. One Incredible Bargain!

 You want your watches to like have a little bit of bling to them, but we just don't want that on our divers. We want this fully brushed Glycine. If you're listening, Invicta, whoever's in charge over there just do full brush bracelet. But overall, a really good looking watch
