Part of Canon's entry-level Rebel lineup, the T7 is a great option for beginner photographers, thanks to its simple design and intuitive menu system. Canon also has a ton of E and EF-mount lenses for its APS-C DSLRs, so you can upgrade to better lenses as your skill grows.

Inside the camera is a 24-megapixel APS-C sensor, and it delivers very good image quality overall, with detailed, color-accurate photos straight out of the camera, though its noise handling is just okay, with a lot of noise at higher ISO settings in low light. That said, it feels fairly comfortable to shoot with, and its optical viewfinder gives you a lag-free, unfiltered view of your subjects. At this price point, build quality feels cheaper and more plasticky than pricier models, and you don't get anything fancy like weather sealing or even a tilting screen.

However, underneath that modest exterior is a high-resolution APS-C sensor that's still fairly capable in image quality. Since this is an older, cheaper model than the Canon EOS Rebel SL3 or the Canon EOS Rebel T8i, it doesn't perform quite as well in dynamic range and noise handling. However, it's still very good for the price, and you can always upgrade your lens down the line for better results.

The best all-around camera we've tested for under $500 is the Canon EOS Rebel T7 / EOS 2000D.  It has 1000 LPF. It'S really going to do a nice job for those videos as well as stills, so if you don't want to just get in on the basement floor at the D 3300, you want to step it up slightly. This is giving you that ability. Now it's going to cost you an extra couple hundred dollars for that type of quality, but if it's something that you're going to grow with and you really want to get into filmmaking, this is a good starter camera at 800 bucks now you're going to have to Add lenses, so you can buy the kit

 So, if you're looking to get a two lens kit in 18 to 55 and a 55 to 200 to shoot outside that 55 to 200 is going to be fine for everyday basic use, not the greatest lens in the world, but for a hundred and fifty bucks To give you a little more reach outside, especially if you're shooting the kids running around or shooting sports, it's going to be a perfectly good option, so that is a preview of the Nikon d50 500 for seven hundred and ninety-nine dollars.  At all 9 cross-type is perfectly fine. It comes in black or red if you want to have a red camera just to be different, go ahead, have a red camera and it clocks in at 799 dollars, that's body only. That is not a bad place to be. For a consumer camera who do I think that this cameras for I feel that if you're shooting you're more interested in video, because it has the very angle screen - it has some nice video features

 I'Ve seen it with a Nikon, d70 100 and the d810. You are getting much sharper and crisper images now. The d50 300 also had 24 point 2 megapixels, but it had an olp F. So here we go

Nikon D5500 Preview

I would recommend a (used) Canon 6DMKII and a Sigma 150-6000mm lens or keep the Nikon D5500 and get the Sigma 150-600mm lens in Nikon mount. I would advise against getting the Fuji. It does not give you better image quality and you will also have a hard time finding a telephoto lens that can shoot wildlife for it.

I have a Sony a6300 with 10-18F4, 50mm F1.8 and Rokinon 24mm F1.4 cine lens. I haven't used the camera in over a year and want to get into Wildlife photography as I have come to know that's something I enjoy having experienced it with a lot of wildlife photographer friends. I also want to shoot more when I travel. 

I also have a Nikon D5500 with 18-55 kit and 35mm F1.8 I want to sell.

So what's your body/lens recommendation for my needs? I thought about the idea of selling both my cameras and getting a Fuji XT4 but not sure how that would fare for wildlife. 

Also have an idea to get a Canon 90D and 2 lenses or even sticking with the a6300 and getting a nice telephoto for Wildlife. What's your suggestions/take on this? please help.

Keep a6300 or buy something else? Wildlife and Travel

 My biggest complaint would be that the numbers in the viewfinder are hard to read and especially difficult in bright sunshine. I haven't had this problem with other Nikon models I have had. The 18-55 lens is OK but not as good as other copies I have had. The zoom isn't smooth and the pictures aren't as crisp and sharp as the copy I had with my D3300 so I don't use it much

if the price is right though, and you can live with those limitations, the video quality is still perfectly reasonable given its age and is better than lower tier Nikons of similar age or even a generation or two newer (Nikon seems to put better video pipelines in the D7X00 and up bodies than the D3X00/5X00 bodies). Is a D7000 good enough for videography?

The price point may be for beginners but if you have never worked a camera before this will not be easy to understand. I still don’t understand what everything does.

It’s ok. Nothing special. Save your money and buy a really good one.

 Adorama took the 55mm filter back like a champ- very impressed. Lots of good on the D5500 as it does everything really well. Touch screen is icing on the cake.
