Also a concern to photo hobbyists, there just aren't as many Z lenses available today, and only a handful are purpose-built for the DX sensor format. The company's development roadmap is focused on full-frame lenses, and while telezooms are going to be big regardless, there are no announced plans for a vast range of compact lenses made specifically for the smaller sensor format, like you get with Fujifilm X, Micro Four Thirds, and Sony E mirrorless systems.

How does my 7 year old camera hold more power is beyond me. But the very very worst feature of this camera is annoyingly idiotic flip screen. If you are like me, I love to leave my tripod attachment screwed in on the bottom of the camera to easily click in and out of my tripod. Well this camera decided to put the screen flip to the bottom making me take on and off this attachment and making things a hassle something that all other manufacturers took into account as their screen flips on ways that do get on the way

The lenses for Micro Four Thirds are relatively lightweight, so carrying my camera and lenses while hiking is a no-brainer for me. If I had a camera with a bigger sensor, like the Sony a7 IV or Canon EOS R6, I would have to compromise on something—be it versatility and usability, or the sharpness of the lens—to keep the pack weight as low. The sensor gets me all the performance I need for anything but edge cases which I work around easily enough, and the lenses I carry with me are all sharp and cover the range I need.

I just bought a Nikon Z50, nice and light to carry around. I have put a Sigma 1.8 17-50mm lens, again, not an expensive lense. lens adaptor and Z50 a little over 1200 euro
