Canon EOS M50 vs Nikon Z9

-Shoot 4K videos What I don't like about it? -4K does not support Dual Pixel CMOS AF and cropped so much -No clog format for video editing. -Poor battery life -Sony might be a good/expensive brand to go as you progress. My recommendation will be getting an EF adapter and get the 50mm F1.4 =equal to 80mm on this cropped camera

Recording 4k 60 FPS internal LOG is amazing, and the VR option makes you easily hand held many shots. on Video, the subject tracking is fantastic as well, and very easy to switch from face detection to subject tracking . This is truly the BEST nikon Camera in the last 15 years at least, and it can beat many sony and canons out there. No Heating issues Battery last easy all day for a wedding The ergonomics is just perfect

The Canon EF 300mm f/4L IS USM is fantastic; my wife uses hers with her EOS M50. Nice lightweight prime, excellent image quality, and overall a great compact setup for wildlife photography, especially when hiking.

I’m absolutely blown away by the Nikon Z 9. The pure speed of the autofocus and how well the focus sticks to the subject is too hard to describe in words. Speaking for myself, I decided to stick with Nikon because of the lenses and because I'm used to their ergonomics. I could have swapped over to Canon instead of going with the Z7ii, but I chose not to.

I bought a zoom lens for distance shots. The auto focus is really good and there isn't a steep learning curve using this. Very happy with my purchase. I'm a total beginner photographer so I can't compare this to other mirrorless cameras on the market but would highly recommend this camera

I've been a professional photographer for natural light portraits and outdoor landscapes for 8 years. I've been hearing the buzz about mirrorless cameras and witnessed professional photographers swapping their dSLR's for mirrorless. My primary camera is a Canon EOS 5D Mark III and I LOVE this thing. The only problem is that it's very bulky so it makes it hard to take on trips where I have to encounter strenuous hikes and climbs

Its basically just a R5 that put on a bunch of weight during covid. Same as A1, theyre all more or less the same. I do wish the R5 had the backlit sensor though, and a no LPF option.
