I'd honestly recommend approaching this almost entirely by price. Tons of gently-used D600/D610 bodies out there, and at $400 (which I see them listed at often) they're a steal.

-Shoot 4K videos What I don't like about it? -4K does not support Dual Pixel CMOS AF and cropped so much -No clog format for video editing. -Poor battery life -Sony might be a good/expensive brand to go as you progress. My recommendation will be getting an EF adapter and get the 50mm F1.4 =equal to 80mm on this cropped camera

Full manual control is available when recording video, and you can quickly adjust the resolution and other settings when in Live View video mode via the i button. The footage shows an incredible amount of detail, although there is evidence of the rolling shutter effect during very quick camera movements, but that's to be expected from a full-frame camera.

The Canon EF 300mm f/4L IS USM is fantastic; my wife uses hers with her EOS M50. Nice lightweight prime, excellent image quality, and overall a great compact setup for wildlife photography, especially when hiking.

The lenses are an improvement on their F counterparts in almost every way , There are quirks with things but once you understand the system you can get amazing results. Focus is fast and accurate, but like all camera and lenses addition calibration to each other pays you back with sharper images.

I bought a zoom lens for distance shots. The auto focus is really good and there isn't a steep learning curve using this. Very happy with my purchase. I'm a total beginner photographer so I can't compare this to other mirrorless cameras on the market but would highly recommend this camera

6G IF-ED that doesn't seem to shoot clearly anymore. I have used the heck out of this lens on my D90 and then moved on to the D810. I was able to shoot handheld at 300mm and get amazing shots in the past but no more. I tried AF fine tuning and enabling electronic front curtain shutter but nothing helps so I assume it is damaged

I've been a professional photographer for natural light portraits and outdoor landscapes for 8 years. I've been hearing the buzz about mirrorless cameras and witnessed professional photographers swapping their dSLR's for mirrorless. My primary camera is a Canon EOS 5D Mark III and I LOVE this thing. The only problem is that it's very bulky so it makes it hard to take on trips where I have to encounter strenuous hikes and climbs

So I ordered the D810 and put my D3 - both on Amazon - up for sale at the same time, and the 810 arrived on the day the D3 sold! (Thanks, Amazon!) And I love the D810 for landscape work. I put photos up on an internet web site and enlarge them to perhaps 16x20 for gallery display, and this camera with its "giant family size" sensor, excels at that stuff. I do have to say - and the only reason I didn't give it five stars - is that with the MB-D12 attached, it gets pretty heavy and pretty big, pretty fast. So, it no longer exactly falls to hand, but its a keeper anyway

But you absolutely get more than enough camera for your money. Attached some photos (clearly edited) so you can see what to expect. **Edit: the star that I took off was for battery life. I think this is the biggest fault here, so definitely make sure you snag some spare batteries (yes, you'll need several) if you want to use this out in the wild for an extended amount of time!

For the price best DSLR out their hands down!!! Battery life is off the charts!!! ergonomics is beautiful (big hands) Their is a Reason Nikon is a Favorite for photographers for years easy to use and spectacular images, as Technology evolves Nikon Flagship DSLRs still manage to overlap cameras 3 generations newer!! this is why they have such a loyal following.
