I’d concentrate on maximizing bang for buck with a D3200/3300 or skip right to the much, much more advanced D90/7X00 bodies. There are other bodies you could technically buy for £500 but you’d be left with nothing for lenses and accessories. To get started with lenses, I’d recommend an 18-55/3.5-5

To be honest I didn't think the video when taken in lower lighting indoors was that great and every picture taken indoors with fairly well lit lighting during the day wasn't the most crisp pictures i have taken. I used Aperture priority without a flash and had the aperture open fully and let the camera do the ISO and shutter. My Panasonic GF3 and SONY NEX seemed to get better results.
