8 lens and am blown away by how much cleaner and crisper it is than the 18-45 kit lens. Now when I edit footage I can tell the difference in lighting and video quality from the two lenses. Everything is on a tripod for what I shoot so I don't need a zoom. Should I get a Canon 24mm 2

I used it for years on my D5200 and the image quality on my Z6 II with this adapter is noticeably better (better color etc) so I don't think it negatively affects image quality. 2. My lens fit on the adapter firmly without any grinding or wobble. I guess some people have had issues with this but I haven't

I am using it on a EOS T5 so the camera remains lightweight. The perfect walk around set-up.

8, you're going to get something like a f/1.8 prime in sharpness but with the $$$ and size and weight that comes with it.

Nice fast lens. The autofocus is a bit slow and struggles in dimlighting, but then again, can’t beat the price compared to a USM lens. I’m just starting out and it’s perfect for me.

Before Nikon moved to internal focus motors it utilized a screw-drive system for autofocus. These AF and AF-D lenses are still compatible with many SLRs, and while you can use them with the FTZ, they'll be restricted to manual focus.

You don’t lose sharpness going with the f mount and it has a much bigger reach. It’s already a big lens so adding the FTZ doesn’t make it feel much bigger. When they finally do release a z mount version you shouldn’t have much trouble selling the f mount lens. I wouldn’t look at the sigma or the tamron because they won’t hold their value as well if you plan on upgrading to the z mount super zoom

From the moment I picked up the lens, I knew that it was a complete redesign from the old model, and it sure needed it. On the rear of the lens we now have a metallic mount, something I’m so glad to see. Moving up from the plastic mount has increased it’s weight slightly, but also hugely increases the longevity of this lens. On the front we’ve now got a 49mm filter thread, which is even smaller than the old 52mm thread

Nikon engineers clearly did not think this thing through when the slapped this design together; they did the least they had to do.

Having that much aperture opens up an entire world o possibilities and because is a static lens, you are forced to be creative with your angles and positioning. Let alone the affordability of this lens, I would recommend this to anyone interested in buying their first lens.

Nikon states auto focus may not function, which is fine as i know how to manual focus and the AF on the camera will turn green when in focus. However, it WILL NOT let you change aperture, so you are stuck shooting wide open 100% of the time. if you try to manually place the lens in say f-8 by unlocking it, then nothing will function at all and you are prompted on screen and through view finder to "lock aperture at largest setting". So i switched to the z series knowing i would need this adapter and only bought since it says compatible
