The way the straps connect over the neck before connecting with the bag helps distribute the weight over your entire shoulders. The chest buckles helps move the packs weight forward and makes it feel like the back pack is part of you and less of a bother

Basically, if you drink a lot of water on hikes and use a 3L camelbak, DON'T get this backpack.

I travelled to Costa Rica with it and was able to pack my Lumix camera, GoPro camera, tablet, sandals and a bunch of other stuff in it and yet it so light I carried it with ease and it fits under the seat of the plane. Great carry-on.

Pros: well thought out pack, like the sunglasses fleece lined pocket for valuables, pack feels very light on your back. Cons: different strap color from the one pictured (green with yellow& gray straps, i got green with all gray straps), but that’s really my only reason for not giving it the 5 stars it deserves. It’s a really nice pack that’s a perfect mix of style and functionality.
