CamelBak Helena 20 Hydration Pack - Women's - 2.5 Liters vs Gregory Nano 18 H2O Hydration Pack

It's bigger than a typical mt biking pack so would be good for an all day long epic ride. It is also really great for short to moderate day hikes. Look, I love being able to organize my stuff, and this has plenty of pockets and places to stash snacks, keys (every pack should have a key fob and this one does!), first aid kit, tire repair stuff, snacks, extra layers, snacks. I haven't seen many packs this size that have the pockets on the hip belt -- bonus score

Now let's talk about ACCESS. There almost isn't any, which is a good thing/bad thing again. You have access to the mesh side bottle slots and the lid pocket without unbundling the pack. To reach the main compartment, you have to pop the lid and undo a drawstring

This is on the smaller size for a backpack so more like a daypack if you're running about town. Handy zippers makes getting to things like a wallet easier.

Despite other women on here that are my height and weight (5’, 100lbs) saying the pack fits them well, it did not fit my 14” torso at all. According to the specs, this is the lower limit, but they should consider adjusting it. When I pull the shoulder straps up enough that the waist buckle hits the right spot at the top of my hips, the back of the pack digs into my neck. This is a problem with Osprey’s one size hydration packs as well

Overall, would recommend this to anyone looking to take their day hiking gear a notch above without spending $$$. I packed my camera, lenses, windbreaker, snacks, valuables, and water and still had enough room for sandals etc. if I wanted. With lifelong warranty and solid build, I am sure this guy will come with me to many a places!

So you can pop all the contents and then squeeze it down nice and tight, keep it nice and safe and stop it from moving around. Take a look at the back...

I'm 6'2" and about 275lbs, hips ~ 44in. I say this because the most important thing for me when looking for a pack was getting one with high volume that would comfortably fit. This pack fit me well in the shoulders and cross chest attachment (I removed the hip attachment because it barely fit and would have been uncomfortable), and was comfortable throughout a 7 hour hike of cloud's rest in yosemite. The 3L of water ran out on the way down the hike, roughly 6 hours in, but with the extra pack volume I was able to carry an additional 40oz of water with me for the remaining portion and on the ride home

An upgrade from my old CamelBak is the elastic chest strap. It provided me with better comfort and convenience when trying to zip and unnzip my jacket.

The hip belt is removable. The clips for both the sternum and hip belt seem to be of good quality and will likely be durable. As mentioned, I've only put a few miles on this pack, but the adjustment straps seem to be a similar quality of that on the Paragon, which continue to work great after 40 miles. The height of the sternum strap is also adjustable, and the clips holding it onto the shoulder straps are firm enough to stay in place but also easily adjustable

The construction is great and well made. I don't really have anything negative to say about this pack.

It's very light and I can take it anywhere. I go wherever I go, but we're happy with these bags. [Music]
