Cambridge Audio AXR85 vs Cambridge Audio AXR100

Just upgraded from the q150s to the LS50 metas, pairing them with a Cambridge audio AXR85 and a kef kht 3000 sub. Don’t have my dac or music library setup yet, but even Spotify over Bluetooth already sounds better than the q150s and I can’t wait to get them dialed in. That being said, I still think q150s are the bargain of the century if you can get them half off (which is pretty easy to do if you’re patient).

I then watched a lot of youtube videos and read other reviews where people raved about the sound quality and the power. I was really looking forward to it! I have a two channel set up with some CSS bookshelf speakers, an SVS sb-2000 pro sub and music maker record player. I had been using the Sonos Amp to power it all. I was under the impression that Sonos did not make quality products, so I was expecting that this Cambridge amp was going to make everything sound great! It did not

If you want bells and whistles, look elsewhere; this is definitely a British product. Absolutely worth the modest cost to get that quality of sound.

Yes, we could have gotten a pre-amp but we're just fans of audio receivers. I don't pretend to be an expert on audio equipment so I won't attempt to get all technical. I just know that I feel this was worth every penny.
