 So Basically, it's helping to try and get this iron to To perform as well as it can for the type of player it's aimed at so that lower handicap golf or someone who's going to strike The middle of the face more often than they miss it But also this really beautiful muscle back kind of look and feel to the iron as well So we're expecting this to feel quite solid which, you know Many better ball strikers want that more solid feel rather than that really buttery softness that we see in some forgings that we get out there I'm certainly in the camp where I want it to feel a bit firmer when I hit it Because I want that bit more feedback and a bit more feel when I'm playing So we are about to put these to the test in the performance center here I'm going to hit them alongside the v6 iron which it's replaced as well and really show you exactly how they perform So let me show you exactly how they perform So So A little bit of a look at the performance Now I've also hit some shots with the staff model blade just to show you exactly how that performed as well But certainly when we look at the v6 compared to the cb we can see the the overall kind of carries and total distances are pretty similar We're getting a little bit more spin with staff model cb It's ever so slightly higher flight and certainly blends that little bit better with the staff model blade when we look at it there as well So pretty much the same height that we're getting pretty much the same distance as well So look just looking at the numbers here. We would say is there any difference? Well, no, not really but let me tell you when i'm hitting them the v6 iron feels Much harsher off the face and what I mean by that is when I don't hit the middle it hurts and um Um, I hit one particularly thin one when I was hitting it there and my fingers are still ringing now from the strike So so yeah the the difference in the staff model cb and blade that I found when hitting them Is that those off-center hits don't feel quite as punishing. It's not that they feel softer It's just that they don't feel quite as harsh really off the face. So so the um The strikes just you know Whether you hit them out the out the toe or the heel kind of feel a little bit more like a centered strike does Whereas in the v6 when you didn't hit the middle of the face My god, did you know about it? And like I say my fingers still know about it, but um We can see there in both staff model cb and staff model blade that we're getting that slightly higher flight Um, the spin is that little bit higher as well Um, which is going to help you to stop the ball on the greens a little bit more as well Like you say we can see here that i've swung it pretty much the same speed with them all i'm getting pretty much the same um ball speed with them all you know, they're within a mile an hour of each other The spins like I say are a little bit higher with the blade and the cb But in terms of carry we're going 179 180 pretty much across the board and mid 180 total distance Which which is good for a 7

 We can see there's three kind of prongs coming from the back of the head all pointing to the middle of the club head now That's helping to get more energy into the center of the club head for strikes Which a player using a golf club like this is going to hit the middle of the face more often than not But we still do need a little bit of forgiveness as well. And certainly when we look at The back of the club head here. We can see this little kind of duller section here It's not quite as chromed up as the rest of it. And this is where we've got 20 grams of tungsten in the mid and longer irons to really help with the Stability of the golf club and get the CG down a little bit get these irons launching kind of all in the same Shot window which a player of the quality that's going to be using these irons is going to need that consistency all the way through there Now it's 8620 carbon steel that the face is made of so it's going to feel Really really nice when we hit it It's also got plenty of technology within the head here with this kind of impact mass area here

We test out the Wilson Staff Mode CB Irons which were announced at the end of 2020 ready for the 2021 season. The forged Wilson CB irons have been inspired by the Wilson V6 irons but featuring enhancments and updates to provide a slightly more forgiving iron.  I'm taking a look at a brand new iron from Wilson the Staff Model CB

 And as I've said today, I'm going to talk to you about this brand new Staff Model CB iron from Wilson

 So Wilson are renowned for making fantastic irons and particularly the forged ones that they make

 They still have the record for winning the most major championships at 62 and counting

 And it's no coincidence that those players using the the Wilson irons

 Were very very good ball strikers and they're using really really good product

 so and the latest of which we saw Gary Woodland obviously win at the US Open over at Pebble Beach and

 They have quite a few players out there on tour now using their products and this new CB iron really has been

 Suppose inspired by an old iron that they had which is v6 so v6 this one here has been in the line

 For quite a few years now and they've really struggled to to get it out because all the players loved it

 they really couldn't find anything that was

 performing as well looked as good and that the players were willing to switch into but

 many of you will have seen the the staff model blade that came out last year and it's possibly one of the most gorgeous looking

 CB model has come out to kind of complement that and replace v6 a little bit as well

 We've seen in v6 and it's kind of moved on a little bit as well. So when we take a look at

 The new CB iron we can see this little pattern in the back here. Now. This isn't just a cosmetic thing

 This is called a tri brace stabilizer. So basically this

 This pattern in the back here. We can see there's three kind of prongs coming from the back of the head all

 pointing to the middle of the club head now

 That's helping to get more energy into the center of the club head for strikes

 Which a player using a golf club like this is going to hit the middle of the face more often than not

 But we still do need a little bit of forgiveness as well. And certainly when we look at

 The back of the club head here. We can see this little kind of duller section here

 It's not quite as chromed up as the rest of it. And this is where we've got 20 grams of tungsten in the mid and longer irons
