Now, the first boards I thought of, when reading your post, are the **Burton Custom X**, **Yes Optimistic**, and the **United Shapes Orbit**. Add the **Arbor A-frame** to that list. These are aggressive, hard charging boards, with full camber. The kind of boards that, if you ride them while tired or trying to be lazy, will fling you onto your ass and give you a concussion before you even notice

Saw the moderator post and it seems like I've only got a few days left till gear recommendations are banned when the real season starts. So I'm looking for some help. I've been snowboarding for a *long* time. I'm willing to bet around 25 seasons. But this year, my gear, as much as I've been able to repair it, is now un-useable other than wall art. And the last time I bought a new board was ....*checks history*.... 2010?! Yeah, I guess time flies when you keep putting off buying new gear because you like your own so much. Big on riding all whenever and wherever possible, but didn't really care about new gear.

Anyways, after not looking at the progression of gear in such a long time I need some help from the community. 6'2", 220lbs and 12 boots. I'm almost always riding big mountain, tree skiing, and powder days, and basically never in the park. I know from experience that I really enjoy the classic camber profiles and really stiff and aggressive profiles of boots, boards, and bindings. Probably because I also ride skis half the time when it starts getting icy.
To recap, help me understand the current board market and I'm looking for following

* Responsive gear for freeriding
* Wide board to make sure I don't get toe drag
* Stiff bindings
* directional board
* probably camber profile
* Bonus: awesome art graphics

Since this is going to be my next big ride for quite a while, I am serious when I also say, price is not an object. But I doubt any board-binding combo would be over $1.5k.

Modern gear recs for an expert snowboarder with really old gear

 This board if you were to be a little too stiff on the lower half you could very likely end up shooting off that thing and so as you see me go through some of these trees my lower half ends up absorbing a lot of those little bumps. You have to be nice and cushiony soft in those legs. This is a more advanced board and I was definitely able to tell that when I was going through some of the more difficult terrain. And if you haven't done so yet please throw a like on this video shoot me a comment let me know what you guys are thinking I would love it if you subscribe to the channel trying to give you guys all of the best snowboard content from a Colorado native

 These channels are basically on the snowboard where you can easily move your bindings forward or backward depending on the snow so as we know when we're in deeper powder often we have to put more weight on our back legs so that we don't nose dive so what's really cool about these bindings is you can actually shift them backwards about four or five inches or so and even out your weight distribution a little bit more so I did do this the last two powder days I had with it however they weren't back all the way so I did still have to ride my back leg fairly hard however I think if I were to move them back another inch or two it would take a lot of that pressure off of my back leg. This board really was designed more for going fast turning hard on your edges going through park it is an all-terrain all-mountain snowboard and it does work well going through powder however I was able to tell that it doesn't like to float on top of powder quite as much as I'm sure a lot of the other boards do. If it snowed maybe 12 inches or more you may experiment with going with a different board but anywhere from you know 10 inches or less you guys should be perfectly fine especially when you shift those boundings down the channel mount. Since the board was designed to go fast I was able to tell that even on flatter parts even with powder or you know even if I'm on a cat trail I definitely am able to maintain speed a lot better and so it's fine if you're just staying on a groomer and it's all powder but if you are going through trees the board does like to move quick especially if you get on other people's tracks and so you really got to be mindful on having your turning skills brushed up

 This is a more advanced board and I was definitely able to tell that when I was going through some of the more difficult terrain. CAN IT RIDE POWDER? Burton Custom X 2022 Snowboard Review

 What's up guys this is Cory welcome back to another video so I'm gonna be throwing you

 guys a little bit of a different style of video here today where you will be seeing

 me ride through some trees and some powder here at Winter Park Colorado and I'm gonna

 be going over how the Burton Custom X performs in deeper powder.

 So on this particular day as you'll see in the video the snow is not super deep a lot

 of it's already kind of been tracked over from other people however I was a copper the

 week before and they had about a foot of snow and so I have a good idea on exactly how this

 board feels when you're actually in some deep snow.

 Speaking of the playfulness of the board you can see right here I almost hit a rock and

 then right here I almost went over a log a little bit and so the board does have a very

 agile playful element to it which can definitely be helpful when you are looking to avoid obstacles.

 Now in terms of the stiffness of the board this board is on the stiffer end and so since

 again it does like to go fast you really got to be mindful especially when you're going
