I wouldn't trust the lock to hold under great strain, but this knife isn't for those kinds of jobs. Great knife; a pocket-sized (and weighted) 110

 1) small in size as mentioned above ( but still large enough for reasonable use) 2) light weight 3) very slim profile 4) not "tactical" looking 5) US made This turns out to be harder than one might imagine. Knives tend to be too large, or too military looking for polite use, or most dreadfully made "offshore". Enter the "55". I have long been a fan of buck knives and have a deep respect for the fact that they manage to produce a high quality product in the US while keeping their prices very reasonable

 The good news is that the knife arrived and fits my parameters perfectly; it is small, light, handsome with brass bolsters and polished rose wood scales, but alas the blade was completely dull. I am not a stickler for the sharpness of a knife when it arrives, as I have high standards for sharpness and also understand that you need to be willing to work with a blade over its life. However the 55 that I receive appeared unfinished, the blade seems to have received the the first shaping grind, but none of the subsequent polishing or sharpening grinds, I had to work for 20 minutes on a grinding stone to get the primary bevel in place and another 10 minutes of work before it would cut paper. Once that happened the knife was perfect, I was just a bit surprised and disappointed that this one snuck out the door of the buck factory essentially as an unfinished item

 Like it's big brother, the 55 is superb workmanship, and incredibly sharp. It's very lightweight, but also striking in simplicity and beauty. I find myself not wanting to have this in my pocket everyday, but on occasion, so as not to age it too quickly, but then again, at only around $30, it's easily replaced. I can't say this any more positively than this: If you need a single blade, locking pocket knife, sharp enough to skin deer or whatever, buy this knife! You will love it!

I like the knife, however fit and finish on the scales could be better. The blade arrived with a burr, almost seems like they didn't finish sharpening it.

I respect the american-made thing for sure it's super cool and the people who can justify that price will almost certainly be happy with it. Those are just poo, poo town population of those steels right, then there's ingot form seals and there's powder form steels

 You are getting a pocket clip that can be either for a right or flip it over for a left tip up. Carry I'm not going to show you that in the pocket just yet, because I want to show you how this knife opens, I don't want to spoil it with the pocket shots so the way that this work, this works is, you can see it. Has these large pivot buttons on it and you're going to press those together and that is going to open up the handle and then it's a gravity-fed where you swing out the blade.  So that's what it looks like when you're carrying the knife again, I just want to show you the opening mechanism you're going to press or pinch the index finger and thumb together that pops open the handles. So if you release it, that's going to clip onto the blade once you release that locks the blade in place. You can see how they've hollowed out the inside there it's kind of a hardened sheath for the blade to sit in now. It has a pretty solid lock up on it

 That way, a very fun one to play with, though overall weight on the knife is six point. Two three ounces lengthwise. This guy comes in right at nine and a quarter inch and the blade is 3 and 3/4 of an inch. Now, as I said, it does come in a couple

This is the Warlock and, as the name suggests, there needs to be something magical about this, and I'm going to say it's the way that it opens has a very unique opening mechanism and go ahead, and let you take a look at it. Real quick looks like it's an OT F, but you'd expect that to be the tip of the blade rather you're, seeing the tang, so that might make you wonder how it opens, but before we get there handle material is an aluminum
