Buck Knives 55 vs CIVIVI Elementum

It seems to sharpen up as easily and hold an edge as well as 1095 carbon steel, but has the rust resistance of a stainless. The fit is top notch. There are no gaps between the backspring and liners. There's no blade wobble, and no gaps between the wooden scales and the bolsters

The plunger is milled down less than a 1/16 inch this will fail before a liner lock would. Civivi knives are all show and no go. If you want a nice Chinese knife at a cheap price Petrified Fish is a better deal. Civivi - WE knives are over priced

I like the knife, however fit and finish on the scales could be better. The blade arrived with a burr, almost seems like they didn't finish sharpening it.

The forged carbon fiber are "just" scales on the side of what is the generic frame for this design, but they do seem to make quite a big difference in making the knife feel quite a bit lighter than the plastic or metal versions.
