 Not so. You have to figure out, on your own, that you need to use the "broil" mode for that step. How hard would it have been to simply state the mode to "select"? (3) the air fry basket has some usage verbiage on it, but it's not in English and is unreadable. It's not a big deal but shows sloppy merchandising

I just received the Joule Oven. I initially noticed some design mistakes: (1) the "confirm" button should have been labeled "selector". It allows the operator to "select" different modes of operation. (2) The suggested cooking collections are helpful, but the preparation description fails to tell the operator what "mode" to select

 In addition, there are no new functions in comparison to the pro air oven. Does it give the same awesome results?? YES  but in no way is what I expected of Breville in this time and age. I also expected a slightly bigger oven with a scratch prove/resistant exterior. The recipes that you can cook with the Joule feature are the ones provided, not the ones you might necessarily want to make a so that really sucks

I tried this tonight wasn't bad the only problem I had was my fries cooked faster then the preset time for fries. So I will have to learn the right time for the fries I like!!!  The fries tastes like the were fried with oil so that was awesome!

I'm not over the top about the touch screen, I would prefer buttons, but it functions adequately

 I look forward to cooking and baking every day. I absolutely love it and I recommend it 100%. It is a definite must have.

 This product has been a life saver. No more greasy and messy stove top for me. I love that I use very little to no oil for so many different meal options. It also includes a divider accesory so you can bake 2 different things at once

Wonderful Air Fryer

. very pretty color, felt well made, the actual basket is square and pretty large but not as large as my 5.5qt Cook's Essentials from QVC. Needless to say I returned the broken one I received and had the basket been the same size or larger then the one I have I would've asked that they send me a replacement

Can't really review performance...

Unit is extremely large, but the actual surface area of the bottom frying plate isn’t substantially bigger than smaller fryers. That’s the part that matters (it doesn’t work well to stack food — especially wet battered — in air fryers).  Biggest complaint though is how hot it gets underneath. To be fair, there is a warning in the manual about this

I did check the heat under the unit partway through cooking, and it was warm, but apparently it got a lot warmer

I love the delicious food this air fryer made with less heat in the kitchen! BUT after only two weeks of use, the fryer basket, non-stick coating started flaking off. GO Wise telephones roll right into voice mail instructing customers to send an email for service. More concerningly, following the manual and recipe instructions to "shake" the food contents in the basket to allow for even cooking, the basket disconnected all by itself just by shaking and fell apart landing on my kitchen floor. This was while blazing hot food and metal was flying through the air

Dangerous design. :(
