The Sette gets your espresso in the portafilter in ~4 seconds, this machine takes ~17.5 seconds. -Another issue is that although there is a pause functionality on the grinder, it isn't really useful because the damn thing resets the timer after about 10-15 seconds

 Moving down, we've got this silicone cap and this cap. Pretty straightforward. Take this off and then you'll add your coffee beans directly through the top into the hopper right here. And there is one cool thing about this cap

 It is sort of a dark plastic, but it's not so dark that you can't see how many coffee beans you have added into it and that's good. But this does measure about seventy grams so you can about 70 grams of coffee into the hopper. That's pretty decent because that's generally about what you're going to need, even for some very large French presses, so that's super useful. You can add a lot of beans here and grind a lot of coffee in the center of the hopper

 Take this off and then you'll add your coffee beans directly through the top into the hopper right here. And there is one cool thing about this cap. if you do not close the handle over it, it's gonna come out real easily. So if you were traveling with the Lito 3 and let's say you put coffee beans into the hopper, you would want to make sure that you close the handle over that silicon cap and then it'll keep everything sealed up tight and the cap won't fall out

I finished 2020 getting a moka pot and stepping down from pods. Now I've got a Chemex I fell in love with and I buy wholebeans which I grind with a Timemore C2. I love the coffee I'm brewing and its experience, YET I have this damn feeling of wanting to upgrade.

Right now what I want to upgrade to is a Comandante C40, cause I've read and was told so much good stuff about it that I just *want* it but... Do I even need it!? I've been with this brainworm for a couple months already. I managed to shake it off a bit but as my birthday is getting closer, I can't help but think this would be a good gift to myself... But I'm back to the question of "Do I even need it?" as I'm unsure if it will actually step up my coffee experience when compared to the Timemore C2 in any kind of noticeable way.

I'm trying to cope with this. I've manage(d) to cope with this when it comes to headphones as I bought different headphones for different purposes rather than focusing on upgrades, but in here with coffee I only see upgrades to my current setup as *sidegrades* would either be cheap (Buying a V60 - so if I feel like playing with it, I will just buy it) or I don't have where to fit them now (Buying an espresso machine). Even when upgrading headphones, I could notice a reliably better experience with the new gear, but I feel as if with coffee that would be different as the amount of variables is far greater (type of beans, water, grind size, brew type, brew recipe...).

How do you guys cope with this? How can you fight the brainworm of wanting to upgrade something that works fine as it is?

LIDO 3 MANUAL COFFEE GRINDER REVIEW [Watch Before You Buy]

I had brewed it with my Encore last year and it was pretty decent at best, but I purchased a Lido ET back in August of last year and I can definitely say it has way more clarity now!. I'm using a 1:18 ratio and it genuinely tastes like jasmine and melon juice! Recently, I've departed from the 1:15 - 1:16 ratios I had always used and it really accentuates the flavor profile.

Grinder recommendations?

 Currently using a Hario V60 filter. Still making fine adjustments to the grinder and finding the flavour smooth with virtually no bitterness. I used to have sugar but not anymore. If you like a using a manual grinder then this is a fantastic upgrade

 The grind is even and the use of the grinder is effortless. The grind time has been cut by minutes to about 30 seconds on setting 8 from Zero. Currently using a Hario V60 filter. Still making fine adjustments to the grinder and finding the flavour smooth with virtually no bitterness

Just purchased the Lido 3, as well as scales and a gooseneck kettle and I cannot believe the flavour difference from the same coffee (Commonfolk Roasters).
