The steam wand works great, the magnetic tamper storage is awesome, the portafilter is heavy duty, the hot water dispenser will turn an espresso into an americano very quickly, and my wife loves using the machine as much as I do. Very happy with the espresso and coffee drinks served up by the Infuser. For context, I would consider my wife and I pretty serious coffee snobs. We’ve been home brewing for ages, and home roasting for a few years as well

I don't think this is essential for a latte, but if you drink espresso your first cup will be lukewarm unless you let the machine fully heat up (which is long after all the lights are on). - The default recommended settings on the grinder are working like a charm, so we probably won't mess with them much. We are using whole bean Starbucks espresso. - The manual doesn't explain the grinder mechanism very well

Well, to be honest, this machine may not be able to draw out all the potential taste notes of your coffee beans like the industrial espresso machines can. But for something that's a reasonable price for the person who wants to enjoy a decent cup of espresso at home, it's a pretty good machine. I give it 4 stars because it's not able to bring out the full potential of my beans, but it does pretty well! You'll be a completely satisfied customer if you don't expect it to do exactly what a machine 3 times its price (and footprint) can do. Buying those same 62 drinks at Sbux would have cost $415 (not count tip I always leave so actually closer to $500 for 62 triple venti Ice lattes at Sbux costing nearly $7 each + tip. So I figure I when just considering supplies I used $30 in beans and syrup and at around $4 per gallon, I have used maybe another $20 in Milk so $50 total in supplies about vs. around $500 for buying the drinks at Sbux including tip means I paying 10% what I used to and have saved $450 ($150 less than I paid for the machine) in a single month on the drinks for me and my daughter. As I started off saying, it does take me 15 minutes from start to finish of cleanup to make those two drinks but it could be half that without cleanup every time but I also never wait in a drive through line

Unlike other reviews where people compare cappuccino done with this two machines with the one made in coffee shops, I have to say that you can make a decent cup but it cannot be compared with the pro shops, unless it was made by some 16 years old person on the first few days of training or someone who does not care. My main point for possible buyers: Consider Breville Café Roma. It is only $200 and can produce almost the same quality. If you are tight on budget, go for Roma

Shot looked good, smelled good but had too much of an acidic sour taste to it still in my opinion. I’m using a breville barista express and filtered water, letting the porta filter heat up before and using a scale and timer for everything. Am I missing something else here to make the taste more enjoyable or maybe I’m just not a pure espresso drinker?

I have been using it for 2 weeks and I absolutely live this exoresso maker..so much better than my Delong back at home. Easy to use, easy to clean

The expectation for a great tasting espresso is quality water, give our well water source we purchase water for cooking and consumption. Would be nice if there was a better way to recover the dispensed water after use to be reused but since the tray also traps grounds, it's useless for reuse. For now I save this for watering plants.

I called Breville and found this is normal. Looking at Youtube videos confirmed the knocking is normal for this machine, but isn't heard on the double boiler machines. So who would enjoy this machine? If you enjoy every aspect of coffee from the roasting to the brewing and your on a budget, you will enjoy this machine. If you enjoy an intense, flavorful, but not bitter cup of espresso, you will enjoy this machine

It was an Vanilla Oatmilk Latte using Counter Culture's Big Trouble. Machine is a Breville Infuser, Grinder is a Sette 270

The unit heats up quickly and provides piping hot water within 30 seconds, enough time for you to pour your milk of choice in the stainless steel milk frothing pitcher. From this point you simply turn a dial on the side of the unit to the steam function inserter your steam wand and try to stimulate the milk into a gentle whirlpool motion, this process takes less than 2 minutes depending on how hot your like to steam your milk. This milk frothing process becomes second nature after the first couple of tries. I'm happy to share that almond milk frothed beautifully

It made very good espresso, but it was terrible at milk steaming. When I got a real dual-boiler machine, the difference was very dramatic. But with the Breville, I had a milk foamer that I used with my Nespresso, so that's what I used.

The temperature of the latte will be the temperature of the milk. Unless you want to pre-heat the cup before the whole process, you want the milk as hot as possible, but not so hot that it will alter the taste of the drink. Everyday usage: 1. Wait 20 min or so for the machine to pre-heat
