Coffee tastes great as it does not have a bitter aftertaste. Great for households where only 1 person drinks brewed coffee. Easy cleaning. Cons: I've been trying out this coffeemaker model for a week now and in the beginning, I didn't mind nuking the coffee straight into the microwave right after brewing as I found its' hotness a bit tepid for my taste

But I *am* buying a Breville Infuser, from another vendor. There's really nothing comparable, feature-wise, in this price range (or the next range up; the Infuser is more expensive by about $80 or so, and is more focused on tweaking the temperature and pressure variables). And let's be real - if this wasn't a device designed for the precision extraction of an addictive stimulant from a bean, I wouldn't be nearly this invested in getting it right, and I certainly wouldn't be typing up several hundred words' worth of review at 12:30AM, or incrementally inching my way towards some thousand-dollar monstrosity that looks like a chromed section of a WWII battleship's engine room. Don't do school, kids, stay in drugs

All these other reviews are gonna say how good the coffee tastes and stuff, and they're right, but you're probably thinking "maybe they're just coffee snobs" and they probably are. But you'll be one too after you have a coffee from this machine. Coincidentally, the caffeine is much stronger because you get to add the right dosage of grounds for a proper cup, so this review might be a little extra. Reviewer's used to 2 cups of Kpod dirt water, and 2 cups of real coffee is a bit more intense than ya boy has had in a while

Here's what the happened with the Breville Bambino. My friend didn't have the right kind of coffee grinder for whole beans, so she bought a few ounces of beans at a Peet's Coffee and asked the barista to grind them to the consistency appropriate for making espresso. She brought it home, and we tried it with the Bambino and---nothing, almost no coffee came out, and what did tasted terrible. Even after making sure NOT to tamp down the coffee in the filter with too much pressure, the Bambino proved INCAPABLE OF 'EXPRESSING' A SINGLE SHOT OF ESPRESSO, GROUND TO ESPRESSO MAKING CONSISTENCY AT A PEET's COFFEE coffee bean seller

Add 17 grams of fresh medium-ground beans to the filter lined basket. Drip cool tap water over the grinds to saturate and let stand about 2 minutes. Add 6-7 fluid ounces of water to the tank. Plug the basket hole from underneath using the included cleaning tool, to stop water from flowing out of the basket

I purge and run a blank shot to get the group head/portafilter warmed up before pulling an espresso shot and I can start doing that pretty much after turning it on. - Capable of pulling an excellent espresso shot (i.e. pump pressure and temperature control is good)

It’s a great coffee maker but beware if you live at a high elevation. I live in Colorado which is over a mile above sea level, consequently water boils here at about 203 degrees. The Cup-One relies on the boil to send the water up from the heating coils and down the spout to your coffee in the basket. The whole point of this coffee maker is to ensure the water is at the precise temperature and volume so it brews at Gold Cup standards which is between 195 and 205 degrees Fahrenheit

all i mean to say is, the breville bambino is underpowered and that single boiler machines will allow you to grind finer and extract more flavor. so i do think you will notice a difference if you go to a more expensive machine.

Extraction time is regulated by the small hole on the bottom of the filter holder slowing the flow of the water. However, this hole is so small, that if even so much as even a HINT of coffee ground misses your filter and gets inside the holder, it will clog and you will have a mess to clean up. I love the taste of the coffee this thing brews, but it clogs up so frequently that I cannot recommend it.

My older cheaper ugly Delonghi never had that problem. I'm hoping they can improve the design of the interior of the basket or the holder to better split the water. As for the price, it is not cheap; but with Starbucks' cappuccinos at $3.65 you'll start saving money within a few months

Literaly one of those plastic dental picks that I use for my teeth. For the money that this machine costs, its not even close to being worth it. Machine was returned without a problem.

We use it nearly every day while sitting in the Kitchen enjoying the morning. Recommend using the Illy coffee to get the fragrance and taste of Italy. Enjoy!

But somehow it brings out every note in the coffee. It must be the water's time-in-contact with the grounds. I do lament the absence of a true multi-nozzle "pourover" spout. You can, if you like, simulate pourover but I've found the difference is marginal

For our tests we used the same good-quality ground coffee that we’ve used to make hundreds of cups of coffee with a French press, but we found that the Bambino Plus surpassed our expectations, and gave us a smoother and tastier cup of coffee. Note that you won’t be able to grind beans with this machine as you can with Breville’s pricier Oracle Touch machine.

After reading many reviews and looking at many coffee makers, I wanted a reliable, non-espresso, single-cup coffee maker and this one got very good marks from the coffee subreddit and from several friends who know coffee well. It's easy to assemble, easy to use, makes a single 10oz cup of coffee with extremely reliable, consistent temperatures in 5-6 minutes for the cost of water, one 10-cent filter, and 17oz of roasted coffee that I grind with my Encore grinder fresh. I usually drink a single cup per day and no one else in my family drinks coffee, so making a whole pot is a waste. This is cheaper than the pod machines, better coffee (if you buy it--and fresher), and still very fast and consistent
