I've had this headset for about 5 months now. The battery life is pretty good, of about 2 days (36 hours) without a charge. The sound canceling is great.

The headphones easily connected to my Bluetooth transmitter, but sound would intermittently cut out. I would be under 15 feet away. line of sight no obstacles, when the headphones would suddenly announce the transmitter was disconnected, then a few seconds later announce the transmitter was connected, and sometimes the sound would resume. Frequently the sound would just cut out

I persuaded her to open them carefully and try them out, she thought they were okay. I then got her to try my Sony WH-CH700N on, which she thought sounded better and were more comfortable, when I told her they were £55 cheaper than the beats she didn't believe me. After some looking online we decided to get her the newer WH-CH710N and return the Beats, saving her money and getting her some better sounding headphones.

Go to Walmart/Target/Best Buy with him and have him try them on. I'm betting he'll find the QC 35's more comfortable, but if he doesn't, get the XM4s.

Purchased these as an “upgrade” from their predecessor (700n) which I love, in the hopes that they’d add more to those headphones in the price range. Well, there’s some pros and some cons — but ultimately returning them and sticking with my 700n’s. Also want to mention I’ve tried the 900n, the xm3 and xm4 as well — all of those were simply too big for my small head, and created too much of the “cabin pressure” feel and heat that they were not comfortable to wear and just not worth the cost for me. Anyway, back to the 710n’s in comparison to the 700n’s: Pros: lighter, maybe very slightly more comfortable to wear with a slightly better overall build quality, slimmer profile, better anc and a good ambient mode to let in outside sounds while listening to music

JBl/AKG/Harmon/Samsung, imo, make a superior lower end product and a superior super ultra premium product. In the middle is where Sony falls. These are not premium headphones or middle ground, these are going for the "budget conscious" (I hate that term because it really means nothing) that are willing to sacrifice a little sound quality to get ANC. Not me, I am not willing to shell out money and I am not willing to lose sound quality to get ANC

So why the three stars? Because to use the bluetooth feature with an Iphone, you have get an app which is $2 from the app store. Nope. Sell me a product where every feature functions, or do not advertise the bluetooth. Or, put up a disclaimer here that says you are going to have to spend more money

Final verdict, best to worst: E285, SX4 (killer - no mute function, worse hear-through), QC35II (killers - older BT connection, worse audio, poor ANC). Literally wouldn't buy B700. UPDATE: It's been several weeks since I returned all but the Jabra Evolve2 85 (I use it 3-10 hours every single day) and my final rating is four stars while the QC35II I gave two

i will mostly use for music and online classes, so durable and good mic quality preferable.

Sound quality and noise cancelling ability is fine. The headphones itself are too big for my head and are often sliding off, especially if I move or am lying down. The ear muff piece is not as comfortable as I thought it be considering the price of the item.

Considering I’m a musician, a B2B/B2C salesman and obsessed with wireless sound, all these companies should be looking for people with my skill set and background to review some of this stuff so they don’t look so bad when their product, or “discount”, doesn’t live up to expectations. Sony is the worst for underestimating their customers. i.e

Has noise cancellation, volume control, wired / or blue tooth. These headphones were basically worth only the $75. Not more.

Every time that I went back to the Bose, it was fast and easy. With the Sony pair, I had to go into my Bluetooth settings a few times in order to get a connection. It really wasn't a big deal but the Bose gets the edge here because it is painless and works more reliably. DURABILITY: I won't give either pair the edge here because I only had them for a week BUT do keep in mind that the Sony 1000xm1 had issues with the headband cracking

Called Sony customer support "nothing they can do". Amazon customer service was helpful in getting me in touch, but the Sony folks said defective products aren't covered under warranty. $200 headphones shouldn't have plastic so cheap it cracks after a week. Don't waste your money
