I’m gna say that I know very little about speakers and sound but after much research- I have bought myself the Kef ls50 wireless version 1 and are awaiting speaker stands today- currently they are on the floor. Anyway- I listen to a lot of EDM and house music- but I’m finding the bass very “tight”, very “short”, almost “tappy” it doesn’t sound like the same bass on my AirPods or previous speakers.

Thinking of sending it back--it'll all depend on the sound once I get the replacement power cord. It also seems incapable of creating a local network share on my Mac. Really disappointed with the software. The product support also isn't good--unresponsive and unhelpful

(I shared the comments from BluOs with the vendor of the Mscaler who was surprised about the comments) So after a while I thought well I will not use the Mscaler on the Node 2I any more. Then fast forward, November 2021, firmware was updated and the windows software was updated, suddenly I cannot connect any more any bleutooth device anymore (it still worked with the android app, so it was not the unit). I contacted support again and got this message back, "Thank you for contacting the BluOS Support Crew. We have been able to reproduce this issue here in our labs

I love the wireless convenience of the HEOS AVR and HEOS 1 with controlling everything over the app.

IMO it isn't as terrible as some others suggest, but there is a learning curve. On the other hand, for the most part I can use the Node without the Bluesound software controls. I can use Roon, iTunes, or Pandora instead for most functions other than set-up (such as mapping IR remote control operations.)

FYI, the midrange issue might be due to the Cambridge CXA amp, which has a reserved sound from reviews.

5. Small-ish form-factor (since this will likely sit on a side table, not may main rack)

Replaced my 5.1 home theater setup with a much smaller 2-channel system. The previous setup was way too cramped in this NYC apartment.

I've been trying with and without sub (without sub, there is a bass boost from the Sprout100 that can be disabled) and I ended up with SB-1000 as tracks such as Pink Floyd - Welcome to the machine just doesn't sound right without a sub.

I'm considering this a major win since I'm in it for less than $300 which is only slightly more than the Amazon option (that doesn't stream full Hi-Res and isn't compatible with their own app or web player) and significantly less than the Bluesound Node 2i. Quite frankly I'm tempted to dismiss even higher end streamers as well but don't want to incite a debate really.

so I’m back to say these are a significant upgrade to OG LS50S. I’ll add my dainty polite nice hopefully acceptable comment. Such beautiful sound so very very worth the $1500 asking price. Oh my just give Bezos your $ he needs more billions

Full stop. The BlueOS software is more attractive, much better laid out in terms of UI/UX, has more available settings, is easier to setup and add/move devices, on and on..

I eventually looked at my space and realized that if I moved my sofa up by 2 feet I would miss the door way and could place my surrounds on the walls in the proper place and I also could get rid of the shitty Samsung RUGarbageTV I had and get a 65” OLED and get the same field of view.
