I own the Blue Air 211+ and highly recommend it. It also helps me with general seasonal allergies and I've found I sleep better and wake up feeling more refreshed with cleaner air.

This is an expensive item but when you suffer from asthma you really need something that truly gets to the nitty gritty. I do question the craftsmanship. I think that the filter really was defective, because I can't imagine that is how a carbon filter must smell. Others have complained about nasty smells coming from their carbon filters in other units, but I could never live with it if that was normal. I'm sure it was just a bad filter. Anyway, the unit itself worked really well, but without knowing if the filter was at fault or not I can't give it 5 stars

We have had several of these units in our house since 2017. I believe they do a decent job at filtering the air, and they are pretty quiet (although with age some of them become a bit noisier as the fan bearing wears -- but even these are not obnoxiously noisy). Having to replace the filters, even at a pro-rated discount is too costly. I ended up spending another $250 for 2 new filters after less than a year. Do not be fooled by the 5 year filter claim. It is false advertising as far as I am concerned

The noise level is good. It produces moderate white noise on its highest setting and is pretty quiet on its low and medium settings. I use it for my 700sqft apartment and it does a great job managing pet odor and does a great job filtering smoke and cooking odors when I’m searing meats. I recommend this highly for apartment life in general! If you want it for a bedroom or a single room, you could get by on the smaller model, but since I use this in my kitchen as well living with a cat, I opted for this size model and I am pleased with how it performs

It makes a tremedous amount of noise. If that level was any indication of its ability to do the job, I'd have the cleanest air in the neighborhood. Definitely not worth the price.
