Blueair 7710i Air Purifier vs Honeywell HPA300 Air Purifier

My allergist's office has one of these in the waiting room, so I assume it does its job very well. The problem is getting it to do its job. Blueair, with this purifier, has gotten the hard stuff right and the easy stuff totally wrong. Set-up is a nightmare

I've struggled with major mold allergies and just weak immune system/sleep/breathing issues in general. I've tried so much stuff over the years. Dyson was the biggest rip off ever and made me feel dizzy constantly so I was afraid to try again, after moving into a 'new' house with clear issues in the walls/vents/ceilings that my S.O

So much for Swedish design elegance. I'll probably invest in some kind of LED attenuating adhesive plastic, or just put a strip of tape over it. Anyway, it's basically a great machine that seems to clear the air very well, but I think that the engineers geeked out over the controls, and currently there is no visible sign of support.

Things to be aware of: If you buy Honeywell brand replacement filters, they are majorly expensive. Which would be a good excuse to avoid changing them at the recommended interval. However, I've had success with other brands which I've purchased from Amazon. I do keep extras on hand, too

We had no trouble setting it up and it is easy to operate. We generally keep it set on auto and it does its thing when I am cooking or something blows in from outside. Different color lights indicate air quality and we can see that it clears things out fairly quickly.

The service, the delivery, everything else about the purchase and return was very easy and convenient.

If this can be remedied with a firmware or app update, I'll gladly give the two stars back. Air purification: We have a cat that uses the clumping litter, so some of the litter dust is inevitable in the house even with the 99.9% dust free litter from Dr Elseys. Our overall air quality isn't too bad, but since we spend most of the time inside the house (thanks Covid!) I thought this would help

The air purifier is light and easy to move around; but seems well-made. It seems more than strong enough to do the job.

I returned this and bought the Pro L instead. Fewer features but a lot more quiet and moves more air, that’s a win - win as far as I am concerned. Oh and since the Pro models are on now on sale it was cheaper too!!!

I got it from Kohl's. It worked so good. But I was moving it back and forth from bedroom to living room (the handles help), but I figured I'd get a second one. Not hip to the air purification world, I bought what appeared to be a sleek new model from another manufacturer for almost $200

These units are new to the market so time will tell if Costco sells replacement filters. Blueair customer service is in America so the reps are knowledgeable and speak well enunciated, articulate English. Well worth the money.

The one in our living room is near our cat’s main hangout spot and let’s just say he pretty quickly identified himself as the main contributor to our household dust issues…we spend most of our time upstairs or in our bedroom, so the fact we consistently had to change the living room filter more frequently than the one in our room helped us to be aware of the problem and now we vacuum twice a day in the living room and brush our cat more frequently. 10/10, would recommend this purifier every single time (and frequently do to fellow allergy sufferers)

First, the good: the level 1 run setting is whisper quiet. Levels 2-3 are quite a bit louder but you're not going to move that much air without some noise so fair enough. This is the poorest design I have ever encountered. The front removable panel would not stay closed. Noise level was to high. Controls very difficult to use and slow to respond

We live in the Central Valley in California, which is prone to dust from farming, fire smoke and pollution from the highway. It’s like night and day in our house compared to being outside. My chronic allergies and sinusitis have required that I use HEPA air filters in every room of my home. Over the past 20 years I have owned many different units, almost all of them were manufactured by Honeywell. While all had the same basic functions and worked quite well, this unit is by far the best and quietest air filter that I have ever owned. Consumer Reports rates this air filter very high and with good reason, because it's the best and most affordable unit on the market to date
