 It's bigger brother, the Menace 98. Shares a lot of similarities with this ski, but there are some differences too between the 98 and the 90. Let's start with shape and then we'll go from there. So camber underfoot

 Or if you're just looking for a fun, playful all-mountain ski with camber underfoot and a poplar wood core, it's still going to hold an edge. It'll still carve. It just doesn't have quite the edge grip or the power as the Menace 98 with the vertical sidewalls, but still a really, really good ski. So terrain park use, all-mountain use, this thing's a lot of fun in the bumps

 You know, maybe you're looking to ski more bumps and trees this winter. I also think it could be a really good ski for like a tweener, you know, growing kid that wants to move into an adult ski, but maybe isn't heavy enough to drive a vertical sidewall ski. This Menace 90 is great. You know, I have a lot of experience on skis and I love skiing twin tips and I love skiing fast too, but I still have a really good time skiing this Menace 90

 Welcome to our 2021 ski test videos. Today we're going to talk about the Dynastar

 Menace 90. Great freestyle all-mountain ski here. Really cool. It's bigger brother, the Menace 98.

 Shares a lot of similarities with this ski, but there are some differences too between the 98 and

 the 90. Let's start with shape and then we'll go from there. So camber underfoot. The camber in

 the 90 is actually a little higher rise than in the 98, which is interesting. And then there's

 rocker in the tips and tails, although in the 98 it's a little bit longer, which kind of makes

 sense considering the difference in waist width. Now construction wise, they're pretty darn similar

 between the two, but the big difference here is the 90 uses cap construction. So cap construction

 in a ski provides a lot of benefit. Sometimes people can look at a cap construction and just

 in their mind they go like, nah, it's not the ski for me. It's not as good as the vertical sidewall

 ski. Cap construction is highly durable. So for a ski like this, it's nice to have because

 chances are there are going to be a lot of people beating up this ski in the terrain park,

 you know, maybe just like jumping off natural hits and bashing their skis together accidentally.

 Having cap construction is going to keep your skis looking nicer for a little longer. Now the

 other performance benefit of cap construction is it's a little bit easier to get it on edge and

 get the ski into a carving turn, which makes the Menace 90 really good choice for, you know,

 a developing skier. Maybe you're not the best of the best, you're not ripping up the terrain park

 yet, or you're not laying down crazy carves on firm snow, but you'd like to get there. I think

 the Menace 90 is a really, really good choice. Or if you're just looking for a fun, playful

 all-mountain ski with camber underfoot and a poplar wood core, it's still going to hold an edge.
