 You know, boy, I wish the Rustler had a little more of that fall line carving ability of the Bonafide. Not even so much the edge grip, just the ability to kind of arc across the fall line at high speeds. The ski does it and it does a pretty good job of it, but you know, coming from my own background where I used to race a little bit, that's something I'd miss and I would definitely wish for a little bit more of that. But having said that, the Rustler is so much friendlier and more playful of a ski, more lively, lighter in actual weight and in spirit than this new direction of the Bonafide and Brahma

 I just don't think you're going to be as happy with all the edge grip of the Bonafide going forward into 2020 fall compared with the Rustler's very credible carving performance. It's not a carver, it's not its thing, but it does a good enough job to where I don't find myself constantly wishing for it. You know, if I could have everything and not compromise, yes, I would pick up a little more of the carving chops of the Bonafide, but the Rustler just makes me happy. So I remain a huge fan of the Rustler

 And we're going to wrap up our look at the Blizzard catalog with the Rustler 10.

 Rustler 10 returns unchanged for fall 2020, other than a graphics update, so that's the

 I actually own these skis and I'll give you, having owned them and skied them for a year,

Absolute Snow

 It's got Rossignol's auto turn rocker, which means it has camber underneath the binding and then on the tip and tail it has an early rise rocker. You can see the rocker starts here and here. What that gives you is fantastic turn initiation, so you're not going to be catching an edge, you're not going to be tripping over the ski, and if you do take this into powder it's going to give you that little bit more float and a little bit more stability. It's got a sintered base, so it's going to be incredibly quick, you're not going to have any problems on the flats, and it's got an extended sidecut

 It's got a 78mm waist, hence the name, and it's got a responsive medium flex. So it's going to be quite powerful out the turns but still forgiving enough if you haven't quite got your technique dialed yet. It's got Rossignol's auto turn rocker, which means it has camber underneath the binding and then on the tip and tail it has an early rise rocker. You can see the rocker starts here and here

 The Experience series also has the cascade tip, which is where Rossignol have, in the step progression, thinned out the tip of the ski. What this does is it makes it slightly softer at the tip, which again helps with your turn initiation, makes it slightly lighter, aids floating powder, and just makes it a little bit more maneuverable. It's got Zelen 110 bindings, which are incredibly light weight, really easy to adjust and to mount yourself, you don't need any tools or any training or anything, fantastic intermediate binding. Like I said, it's a fantastic all-mountain intermediate ski, so if you're stepping up from maybe a beginner's pair of skis, or if you've been renting for a few years, you're looking to buy your first ski and like to hit the whole mountain, but predominantly stick to piste, this is going to be a really good choice

 As you can see here, it's got a really stubby nose, so the contact points are really high up. What that does, it gives you more grip, more response, and a bit more stability when you're going fast.
