But you can do this by making sure whatever vest or pack you get has certain features that you want: large dedicated phone pockets, some "extra" capacity at a minimal weight gain, etc. I used a Black Diamond Distance 15 vest when I was run commuting, and also for most of my long runs because the compression works well at closing up the pack if I'm using only a bladder in the back.

I use this bag all the time when leaving the house for small errands and the gym. I don’t like wearing big handbags so this is my equivalent and it’s so lightweight. Cute, but REALLY uncomfortable. Something about the angle the straps attaches to the bottom of the bag that makes the whole bag tilt outward at the top, which makes the bottom of the bag rub against an adult back in a really irritating way. (And though it wouldn't be enough to return it on its own, the zippers clang together SO loudly.)

This bag is perfect for everyday use. I’m using as a diaper bag and it has the perfect amount of pockets: front pocket for things like keys/ hand sanitizer/ airpods, 2 water bottle holders on each side: I put 1 water bottle on one side and use the other side for snacks on the go, 2 zippers on main part make it easy for opening, large pocket on inside, and super deep for everyday items you need. Highly recommend this bag for women!!! Herschel never disappoints:)

I'm 5'6 and 135 with not much of a chest. I got the XS and it's perfect! Room to cinch or uncinch. I have a competitors womens vest and had the trail vest/pack they do. The issues I had with the trail vest were solved by this bag completely (and by my dog chewing the zip so I had to replace it)and I feel like the fit is more comfortable than the race vest!
