I left it on starting from the morning at 8am when it was 71 degrees (going to to 83 at noon through evening) it did not get cool enough at any point to stop me from sweating, even with all the shades drawn to block the sunlight. I have a double coated dog and needed an AC for the hot and humid days. It does okay, but for $400+ I would have expected it to be able to cool to a more chill level. It does at least make my apartment more comfortable during heat waves, but I am disappointed it only cools so much despite being rated for a larger space

If you leave it a mode so that the fan runs all the time this doesn't happen. Not sure why that is as the thermostat is reporting in either case to the app. I'm not happy with this part of the units especially as it seems to be a software bug that should be easily fixed with a firmware fix that the app seems designed to do :) Oh pricing.

It still works, just not quite as nicely as advertised. Also this thing pulls as much wattage as a space heater. All the same advice applies. Only use 12 gauge extension cables rated for 1500 watts, and don't run it off a plug on a light switch

The last a/c was $50 per month but I also am very irresponsible with my energy use (a/c running and also open window to keep the airflow, because otherwise my small apartment smells like death). Then I suggest to Mideau that you do a better job at your QA, you can't not bend the evaporator fins, but you can not ship those units to me. Aside from the mildew (😡) this is better than the Frigidaire gallery.

Then you need to secure each of the telescoping panels (just shallow "C" channels, essentially) into eachother with screws so it becomes one unit...

that the air conditioner would arrive on August 3. Now, supply chain issues are understandable given the global pandemic, but the coronavirus doesn't infect inventory software and "saying something's in stock when it isn't" isn't a symptom. People buy air conditioners because it is hot and they need to be cool. If I'm hot and I buy an air conditioner that claims to be in stock, I expect to receive it in the timely manner stated - or at least before AC season ends

The room was at 85 degrees. I decided to see how far the temp would drop in one hour as the peak heat of the day approached . So the unit was fighting the increasing exterior temperature while attempting to cool the interior. In one hour, the temperature dropped to a very respectable 75 degrees without my WebEx meeting warning me to mute my mic due to background noise

Threading the end pieces on the hose was the hardest part of the install for me. I think it may be a used item, because the the hose was also a little banged up on the ends. I took others advice & immediately wrapped the hose with pipe wrap foil & tape. I used the included foam strips for the window piece, but also added scraps I had to seal it tighter

The next day I pulled it out of the frame and covered up the large gaps on the bottom side using the included black foam insulation tape. I really wanted the install to be as sterile and clean and elegant as their marketing wank CGI fictional idealized images show, but that is not reality. The install is fairly clean, but a lot of their directions (intended install practices based on the parts included) and marketing wank are in direct contradiction. They say you can use this unit so you have the option of having your window open

The window panels are too short and the attachment for the hose is weak; B+D could have included something of better quality and an extra panel--I had to buy a different kit for my tall window, better quality insulating tape, and some adhesive netting to keep the bugs from coming in through the hose. It is quieter than the evaporative coolers I have been using, but the weakness of the fan probably accounts for that. The good things are that it does blow cold air, that it doesn't take up a lot of space, and that it is programable, so I can set it to turn on a couple of hours before I get home from work. I'm not thrilled with it, but it works

this one is a double edged sword (covered in CONS as well). While the traditional really loud hum from a non inverter AC compressor is absent, and a lot of the loud fan noise is absent, there is a much more pronounced high pitched whine on the outside portion(covered in CONS.) CONS: 1. The worst part about this tech and this unit: HIGH PITCH WHINE from compressor
