Temperature

Disappointed, needs more heat!

Now that I have been using this toaster oven consistently for over 6 months, it is time for me to update my review. The toaster oven does not get hot enough for a long enough time. It seems that as soon as things really get sizzling and cooking, the coils cycle off! It's very tricky to get things cooked well done, without drying them out! And air frying is a joke, again, the coils don't stay hot long enough and cycle on and off way too much! My other main complaint is the crumb drawer! Sure, it slides out for easy cleaning but the opening is so small, all the crumbs get jammed and stuck back in the toaster oven! Very poor design on this! I've had many toaster ovens and this was my biggest disappointment!

Great Functions and Space-saver

Su Vide button on Insta Pot (Take 1)- I tried cooking without the lid, because that’s usually how Sou Vide works- open bath. I forgot that it takes some time to come up to temp. (130F for 3 hours was my goal). It took about half an hour for the Insta Pot to come up to temp and start the clock for 3 hours

My husband talked me into buying the Instant Pot and I'm glad he did. He needs to be on a special diet because of health issues and this allows me to cook meals without the added fat of frying . It is also faster and much healthier and the food tastes more like real food. The pressure cooker and steam features are my favorites so far

I do like it but will take some time learning the best way to air cook my food. gave it 4 stars.

Good for the home cook, professionals should stay away

My initial impressions are Instant Pot is of slightly higher quality even if they look made at the same manufacturing plant. The finish seems better, the parts seem more solid, and the interactive interface seems more robust. I preferred the astetics of the Ninjas interface, but that's not nearly as important as cooking. The Instant Pot reminds you to when turn your food- a nice feature so you don't have to watch the clock

Size

I'm giving it four stars because I haven't tried it out yet, but this is definitely a step-up from my old B&D toaster oven, which still worked, but was getting "long in the tooth." I'm sure the new one will work fine, and I have always bought the B&D brand, but what I particularly love about this one is the extra size without taking up much more countertop real estate. Will be able to cook larger dishes and my biggest Corningware casserole dish fits nicely (minus the lid, which I can sub with aluminum foil). I can't wait to try out the air fry feature

Pretty decent, but not excellent

The air fryer option was the reason I decided to go for it. Now, there is a problem - the separate air fryer lid needs to be kept somewhere, and that, in my kitchen, is a problem. As an air fryer, it is not bad, but it is a smaller one and size is a huge thing for air fryers, so that the air can circulate correctly. It does fit under the cabinets with the lid on, but it gets to be a pain if you need to open it to turn the food

Frying Basket

"Air Fry" works great for kid friendly foods

The "air fry" function (convection with a basket) is great for making tater tots, chicken nuggets, etc. The toast function needs to be watched until you know how long to toast certain things. I use this instead of a traditional toaster. All in all, a good buy, and I have even done Aldi's turkey breasts in there, nice to not have to heat the big oven on a hot day

Love this product

Also, the air fryer basket is quite small to lay out food on a single layer. I’ve been using the roasting tray to add more food to the quantity that is being fried. But then it’s a pain to turn the food when set up in multi layer mode because the roasting tray doesn’t come with a handle (because it’s hot) to remove it to get to the bottom layer of food. So rather than frying a whole batch of something you will most likely have to go in cycles
