Bissell Featherweight 2033 vs Dyson V15 Detect Absolute

Of all the vacuums we've tested, the BISSELL Featherweight Stick 2033 is the best lightweight vacuum cleaner for elderly users since it places such little weight in the hand while in use. This corded upright feels incredibly lightweight, making it easy to maneuver even in tight, cluttered spaces. It has a simple bagless design that's very easy to maintain and incurs virtually no recurring costs.

"When lots of dust is being vacuumed, the graph rises quickly," Dyson says. "But as less and less dust is picked up, it slows down, letting you know you've achieved a thorough deep clean." 

Its simple design also makes it easy to maintain, as the few parts that need regular cleaning are very easy to access. As long as you clean its dust cup filter and pre-motor mesh filter regularly, you shouldn't need to worry about recurring costs.

You get the wonderfully named Laser Slim fluffy cleaner head, which we'll talk more about separately than an anti-tangle high torque cleaner head suit...

Also, this vacuum has a very short power cord, so you might need to swap outlets when cleaning larger rooms. In addition, parts of its all-plastic construction are somewhat flimsy, especially its wheels, dustbin cover, and main handle, which feels like it could snap if too much pressure is applied. Still, the vacuum's portable design, impressive ease of maintenance, and affordable price help make it one of the best cheap vacuum cleaners we've tested.

I haven’t posted here for a couple years after buying our Miele U1 Cat & Dog which we are still very happy with. Although we have occasionally wished we had a portable vacuum for between weekend spot cleanings around the house and that our young children could more easily carry up and down stairs for their chores.

. except they don't do as good on baseboards as robot vacs with the spinning brush sticking out do. The outside edge suction isn't that great but they get everything that matters

I'm always amazed at what I empty out of the little canister & what washes off the filter. GREAT suction, very efficient, stands right behind my door & no one knows it's there.😉

That being said, I am exchanging mine because it has an (seemingly somewhat common?) issue where the LCD display advises the filter needs cleaned after five minutes of vacuuming (the warning is reset after it's charged and it doesn't effect the performance of the vacuum but nonetheless you're paying good money for a working product). Dyson support have offered an exchange (courier picks up the broken machine and gives me a replacement at the same time) which I'll receive on Thursday (US customers seem to have shit support but EU/UK folk get much better support).

It does get fur on hardwood, dust, light crumbs, and general dirt things pretty effectively. And it doesn't have this issue when you're using handheld or nozzle mode. Update: today is day 14 from I purchased my Dyson v15, in the 2 weeks I used the Dyson 5 times, fully charged it twice and had to wash the filter 4 times. I took my Dyson back to the store I purchased it from (Harvey Normans Ireland). Last night I washed the filter one last time before returning it and it was still a bit damp today, I informed them of everything, they reapplied the filter and the vac still functioned with a damp filter, which they informed me was a hazard within itself (apparently it should have a safety to cut itself off if it's got any moisture at all around it). They changed it for a new one for me or offered me a diff Dyson or money back, I took another v15 in hopes this one will be different

This little stick-vac packs a huge punch for its size and weight. If you have any bare flooring in your home this will tackle it NO problem. It works great on my carpeted stairs, and I have medium pile carpet on them. Everything detaches and attaches with ease, no struggling figuring out how to remove and replace the filter

I think cordless is really the main draw for her. We have been looking at the Dyson V15 Detect.

This is a great little sweeper and the price fits my budget. Anyone who has a back problem will appreciate that it’s true to its name and is featherlight. It does a very thorough job on my vinyl tile and heavier scatter rugs, as well as my hardwood floor. It is easy to empty and doesn’t take up very much space in my closet

5 stars for the vaccuum but 3 stars to the seller for Price Gouging. They shipped it quickly is the only reason I gave them 3 stars. I paid $1000.00 for this vaccuum
