Mine is 6 months old. I would not buy this again. After about 4 months it started pulsating, the troubleshooting guide told me to clean the filter, I cleaned it, waited 24 hours, and it worked fine for a couple days, then the filter light came back on. It does get fur on hardwood, dust, light crumbs, and general dirt things pretty effectively. And it doesn't have this issue when you're using handheld or nozzle mode. I bought his vacuum just over 4 months ago and it has sadly been disappointing overall. The suction power and battery life are fine, but it requires cleaning at least twice, most often three times, every time I use it. My house is 1800sqft and I can't get through an entire pass without having to brush (with a toothbrush) the side port above the diaphragm of the waste bin and the connections to the attachments. This little stick-vac packs a huge punch for its size and weight. If you have any bare flooring in your home this will tackle it NO problem. Original Review [12/2018] : 60 days ago, I purchased a new home build with lots of tile and carpet in only the bedrooms. I knew I needed to change up how I kept my floors clean. Dyson's reputation for generating sucking power is well known. The V10 Absolute is no exception

This is a great little sweeper and the price fits my budget. Anyone who has a back problem will appreciate that it’s true to its name and is featherlight. It does a very thorough job on my vinyl tile and heavier scatter rugs, as well as my hardwood floor. It is easy to empty and doesn’t take up very much space in my closet

To get the best of both worlds, you might want to think about settling for a more mid priced options like a Henry canister and a Dyson v10 or LG A9.

My main complaint is that the motor makes a scary sounding noise when the vacuum is on an uneven surface. If your floors aren’t level like mine, you’re in for a treat!

It doesn't seem that noisy to me. That's been a complaint of some, but I don't think it's significantly noisier than our corded vacuum. The bad: It hardly finishes our 22x22 living room before running out of juice.
