 This lion and benchy at .1 millimeter layer heights have minor imperfections, but overall they're still great for me, not tweaking much at all and now here's a list for my pros and cons with some things that i didn't mention earlier: the pros the price. This is basically a direct competitor to that ender. 3V2

 I haven't tried this on anything other than pla, but the print sticks great, and then it comes off easier than anything. I'Ve personally tried before just a quick sneak peek on these prints coming up soon on the screen now, so you can see what i mean these first two test prints are nothing special, but they at least. Let me know everything is working as it should be. Now it's a little bit confusing and likely explained elsewhere online that i missed, but i just couldn't find their instructions for slicing a print

 I recently reviewed at under 300 the silent board. This printer is extremely quiet, especially when compared to earlier models the build plate, it's magnetic meaning it's really easy to remove, and you don't need bed clips getting in the way of your build area. I haven't yet need to actually remove the build plate to get my print off since a slight lift of the corner, popped them off each time so far. This is my new favorite build plate, but we'll have to see how it holds up to other materials over time make sure to leave in the comments down below if you've had this type of build plate

For a longer time than me, the touch screen it's hands down the most useful that i've personally used thus far. It may not be perfectly user intuitive to someone brand new to 3d printing, but someone like myself really appreciates the ability to tweak just about anything

BIQU B1 3D Printer Review

Ultimately, having gone the Ender route, I fear nothing in 3D printing land.  I've stared into the abyss of nozzle crashes, wrestled the frame back into square after an ugly end-stop fail, and battled the BLTouch into submission with mighty firmware hacks.  I've upgraded the hell out of it and it's now almost as reliable and consistent as my MK3S and still not as expensive.

I've heard that a lot of people buy an ender 3 for learning printing, and then pull the trigger on a prusa. I'd like to skip the creality part because of their treatment of open source. Will a prusa also allow for upgrades/learning experience? Is it worth it to go with a prusa right away?

 BigTreeTech (the manufacturer) quickly contacted the Amazon reseller and I had a new set of FIVE TMC2225 drivers shipped very quickly. I only needed one, so I will have extras. Customer service exceeded my expectations. They helped me via email to troubleshoot and isolate the problem

Great Prints, Great Platform for Upgrades

 I keep it around 60mm/s and I rarely have a failed print caused by the machine (pobody's nerfect). The touchscreen makes  the interface so much easier, the print quality is phenomenal for the price point, and I haven't had a single clog yet (I also don't try to see if I can get the guide wheels to smoke). I've done a bit of PETG on it, but I don't really do nylons and infused filaments so I can't speak to its tolerances there.I haven't really done any upgrades to it besides using RPi with Octoprint and it runs like a dream

I already had an Ender 3 and a Craftbot Plus when I bought the Biqu B1. After a couple months of printing at least 50g of PLA per day on it, I have to say it's a trooper. I'Ve never used one like this before i'm not familiar with it, but it felt easy enough to use straight off the bat without having to look anything up in the manual or look for help online. It was all pretty obvious what things do on the software side. It'S compatible with a wide range of packages

 So, although i'm not a fan of bowden tubes, it hasn't presented a problem for me yet and they have just released a new direct drive print head, which you can upgrade if you wish.  It'S running an skr 1.4 board along with removable, tmc 2088 drivers and, as i said, they're removable, so should you wish to upgrade or need to replace them? That'S easy to do as well in terms of ease of use. First, the 3.5 inch color touchscreen interface itself is really nice

 It'S super easy to use very reliable for me. So far, oh and it also comes in black, if you can't stand the thought of a printer with pink highlights on it. I'm looking for a printer under $500 but can stress a bit higher if it is worth it. I had my eye on the Phrozen sonic mini 4k for a long time but my friend bought one and it's been nothing but problems with it and customer service has not been good at all (as stated by him) with parts taking ages to ship over and various other problems with them. I have been waiting for another printer to be released that has the same or better PPI on a small resin printer but with a different company. Should I just wait for a few more months and hope a similiar machine comes out or pick up something like an Anycubic Photon Mono X with lower PPI?

If you are new to 3D printing, and are unsure of what to ask, try to include the following in your posts as a minimum:

* Your budget, set at a numeric amount. Saying "cheap," or "money is not a problem" is not an answer people can do much with. 3D printers can cost $100, they can cost $10,000,000, and anywhere in between. A rough idea of what you're looking for is essential to figuring out anything else.
* Your country of residence.
* If you are willing to build the printer from a kit, and what your level of experience is with electronic maintenance and construction if so.
* What you wish to do with the printer.
* Any extenuating circumstances that would restrict you from using machines that would otherwise fit your needs (limited space for the printer, enclosure requirement, must be purchased through educational intermediary, etc).

While this is by no means an exhaustive list of what can be included in your posts, these questions should help paint enough of a picture to get started. Don't be afraid to ask more questions, and never worry about asking too many. The people posting in this thread are here because they want to give advice, and any questions you have answered may be useful to others later on, when they read through this thread looking for answers of their own. Everyone here was new once, so chances are whoever is replying to you has a good idea of how you feel currently.

Additionally, a quick word on print quality: Most FDM/FFF (that is, filament based) printers are capable of approximately the same tolerances and print appearance, as the biggest limiting factor is in the nature of extruded plastic. **Asking if a machine has "good prints," or saying "I don't expect the best quality for $xxx" isn't actually relevant for the most part** with regards to these machines. Should you need additional detail and higher tolerances, you may want to explore SLA, DLP, and other photoresin options, as those *do* offer an increase in overall quality. If you are interested in resin machines, make sure you are aware of [how to use them safely](https://www.reddit.com/r/3DPrinting/wiki/resinprinting#wiki_safety). For these safety reasons we don't usually recommend a resin printer as someone's first printer.

Purchase Advice Megathread: What To Buy, Who To Buy It From, And More, In June 2021

 So I decided to print these all with tune settings and make sure that we get the best results for them. Unfortunately, when I was removing them from the bed, some of the tails on a couple of these ripped off. But for the most part, the super high detail part, which is really the scales of this dragon print, and I'll link the file for this. This is basically a Dragon Ball Z, I'm probably going to butcher this name, Shinra, the dragon from Dragon Ball Z, and this was created by Kimbolt

 So, Frozen sent me this to review and basically get my feedback on. And for the most part, it hasn't been too bad of a machine. I will say that the Frozen Aqua Gray 4K resin that they sent with me, the first bottle seemed to have a separation issue, where the color was separating from the actual resin, so it wasn't really printing very well. So I had some issues with that, I don't think it was really a machine issue, because they sent me another bottle and everything seemed to be printing perfectly fine

 So that's pretty much what I base my prints off of normally because 90% of the people are going to just click Print and Go. And while that's not the best way to do things, that's usually the gold standard for everybody that's getting into 3D printing. They just want to print something right away. Phrozen Sonic Mini 4k review

 Hello everyone, it's Matt from Akuma Mods, back again with our review of the Frozen Sonic Mini 4K.

 I know it's been a while since I had this unit, it's probably been almost a month if not more.

 So my apologies for not getting back to you, but I've just been so busy with everything.

 So, yeah, without further ado, let's get into this.

 So, Frozen sent me this to review and basically get my feedback on.

 And for the most part, it hasn't been too bad of a machine.

 I will say that the Frozen Aqua Gray 4K resin that they sent with me,

 the first bottle seemed to have a separation issue, where the color was separating from the actual resin,

 So I had some issues with that, I don't think it was really a machine issue,

 because they sent me another bottle and everything seemed to be printing perfectly fine.

 And I didn't have any issues from then on.

 Also, switching to different style resins seemed to be perfectly fine, I didn't have any issues with that.

 So, really the biggest thing about this is, you know, the 4K.

 Is it truly that much of a big difference when it comes to printing?

 And in my personal experience, you know, it's minimalistic at best.

 And I say that because, well, I have three prints here,

 and I'm sorry because my camera doesn't really focus very well or get into the light,

 but I can share these photos if you guys want me to.

 But basically, we have three different resin prints.

 Well, they're not different, they're all the same, but from three different printers.

 So we have one from the Sonic Mini 4K, we also have one from the Creality LDR,

 And then we also have one from the Creality LDH, which is a monochrome screen.

 So it's a 6.08 screen, or 6.1, I forget which one it is, but it's a monochrome screen.

 So, I don't know if you guys can see that or if my camera's picking it up,

 but you can see there's different variations of each and every one.

 You got one that's a little bit more shiny, one that's a little bit dulled,

 and then one that's really, really dulled out.

 Now, I thought that was kind of interesting because each and every screen
