 This lion and benchy at .1 millimeter layer heights have minor imperfections, but overall they're still great for me, not tweaking much at all and now here's a list for my pros and cons with some things that i didn't mention earlier: the pros the price. This is basically a direct competitor to that ender. 3V2

 I haven't tried this on anything other than pla, but the print sticks great, and then it comes off easier than anything. I'Ve personally tried before just a quick sneak peek on these prints coming up soon on the screen now, so you can see what i mean these first two test prints are nothing special, but they at least. Let me know everything is working as it should be. Now it's a little bit confusing and likely explained elsewhere online that i missed, but i just couldn't find their instructions for slicing a print

 I recently reviewed at under 300 the silent board. This printer is extremely quiet, especially when compared to earlier models the build plate, it's magnetic meaning it's really easy to remove, and you don't need bed clips getting in the way of your build area. I haven't yet need to actually remove the build plate to get my print off since a slight lift of the corner, popped them off each time so far. This is my new favorite build plate, but we'll have to see how it holds up to other materials over time make sure to leave in the comments down below if you've had this type of build plate

For a longer time than me, the touch screen it's hands down the most useful that i've personally used thus far. It may not be perfectly user intuitive to someone brand new to 3d printing, but someone like myself really appreciates the ability to tweak just about anything

BIQU B1 3D Printer Review

Ultimately, having gone the Ender route, I fear nothing in 3D printing land.  I've stared into the abyss of nozzle crashes, wrestled the frame back into square after an ugly end-stop fail, and battled the BLTouch into submission with mighty firmware hacks.  I've upgraded the hell out of it and it's now almost as reliable and consistent as my MK3S and still not as expensive.

I've heard that a lot of people buy an ender 3 for learning printing, and then pull the trigger on a prusa. I'd like to skip the creality part because of their treatment of open source. Will a prusa also allow for upgrades/learning experience? Is it worth it to go with a prusa right away?

 BigTreeTech (the manufacturer) quickly contacted the Amazon reseller and I had a new set of FIVE TMC2225 drivers shipped very quickly. I only needed one, so I will have extras. Customer service exceeded my expectations. They helped me via email to troubleshoot and isolate the problem

Great Prints, Great Platform for Upgrades

 I keep it around 60mm/s and I rarely have a failed print caused by the machine (pobody's nerfect). The touchscreen makes  the interface so much easier, the print quality is phenomenal for the price point, and I haven't had a single clog yet (I also don't try to see if I can get the guide wheels to smoke). I've done a bit of PETG on it, but I don't really do nylons and infused filaments so I can't speak to its tolerances there.I haven't really done any upgrades to it besides using RPi with Octoprint and it runs like a dream

I already had an Ender 3 and a Craftbot Plus when I bought the Biqu B1. After a couple months of printing at least 50g of PLA per day on it, I have to say it's a trooper. It was all pretty obvious what things do on the software side. It'S compatible with a wide range of packages

 It'S running an skr 1.4 board along with removable, tmc 2088 drivers and, as i said, they're removable, so should you wish to upgrade or need to replace them? That'S easy to do as well in terms of ease of use. First, the 3.5 inch color touchscreen interface itself is really nice

Does anyone belive they'll make a mars 3 pro? I was looking at the phrozen sonic 4k( not the mini or mighty) but read that the Mars 3 was a close second. Purchase Advice Megathread: What To Buy, Who To Buy It From, And More, In September 2021

 If you're going to be putting everything on the front of the machine like this, in addition to the power button, there's also a usb port here on the front, which is my preferred location, i just think it's the most convenient the lcd touch screen is more or Less the same as on the other mars models, and it's perfectly fine and easy to use. Although i did find that the screen kind of pushes inward a little bit here and even makes a little bit of noise, which doesn't really inspire confidence, it seems pretty clear that elegu has been doing some cost cutting with this machine to reach a certain price point. But i think also the key parts of the machine, such as the resin vat here are nice and solid. This is made out of aluminum and seems well designed for the most part

Elegoo Mars 3 Review: An Excellent Resin Printer (But...)

tl;dr - if you had up to $2,000 to spend on one fdm and one resin printer for an etsy shop, would you go with the prusa mk3s+ and elegoo mars 3 ultra 4k or something else?

i developed a few rough criteria that i thought were important for this use case. first, and most importantly to me, i need machines that can reliably print batch after batch without much tweaking/troubleshooting. second, and just a bit less important, i want them to be mechanically sturdy and to be compatible with a lot of different filament/resin types. third, and a bit less important still, i'd like to be able to control them and to prepare print files for them using linux (without wine/virtual machines/etc)

i'm leaning towards the mk3s+ because it seems to be the gold standard for reliable, print-farm-capable, sub-$1,000 fdm printers. my understanding is that any meaningful improvement over it can only be had with the multi-thousand dollar industrial grade printers, and that any cheaper printers would be sacrificing on my reliability/sturdiness criteria. also, prusa looks to have that foss spirit so i feel comfortable that it's linux-ready. does that all seem right to y'all? is there anything i'm getting wrong or overlooking?

If you are new to 3D printing, and are unsure of what to ask, try to include the following in your posts as a minimum:

<li>Your budget, set at a numeric amount. Saying &quot;cheap,&quot; or &quot;money is not a problem&quot; is not an answer people can do much with. 3D printers can cost $100, they can cost $10,000,000, and anywhere in between. A rough idea of what you&#39;re looking for is essential to figuring out anything else.</li>
<li>Your country of residence.</li>
<li>If you are willing to build the printer from a kit, and what your level of experience is with electronic maintenance and construction if so.</li>
<li>What you wish to do with the printer.</li>
<li>Any extenuating circumstances that would restrict you from using machines that would otherwise fit your needs (limited space for the printer, enclosure requirement, must be purchased through educational intermediary, etc).</li>
</ul>

While this is by no means an exhaustive list of what can be included in your posts, these questions should help paint enough of a picture to get started. Don&#39;t be afraid to ask more questions, and never worry about asking too many. The people posting in this thread are here because they want to give advice, and any questions you have answered may be useful to others later on, when they read through this thread looking for answers of their own. Everyone here was new once, so chances are whoever is replying to you has a good idea of how you feel currently.

Additionally, a quick word on print quality: Most FDM/FFF (that is, filament based) printers are capable of approximately the same tolerances and print appearance, as the biggest limiting factor is in the nature of extruded plastic. Asking if a machine has &quot;good prints,&quot; or saying &quot;I don&#39;t expect the best quality for $xxx&quot; isn&#39;t actually relevant for the most part with regards to these machines. Should you need additional detail and higher tolerances, you may want to explore SLA, DLP, and other photoresin options, as those do offer an increase in overall quality. If you are interested in resin machines, make sure you are aware of <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/3DPrinting/wiki/resinprinting#wiki_safety">how to use them safely</a>. For these safety reasons we don&#39;t usually recommend a resin printer as someone&#39;s first printer.

I purchased my Elegoo Mars 2 Pro in April of 2022. As a tabletop wargamer who primarily plays in smaller scales (15mm and below, as small as 3mm) I don't need anything crazy. I primarily play homebrews, out-of-print games, and alternative games. This includes titles such as One Page Rules' Age of Fantasy: Regiments scaled to 10mm, Chosen Men from Osprey, and my own games

 If switching resins made by the same company as the printer has the chance to entirely break your device after several months of successful use, then that doesn't bode well for reliability.

 Boy, did I make a mistake.  After three prints of varying success - the models kept sheering off halfway into printing, layers separated, so on - using this new resin, the fourth and last print my poor printer ever attempted somehow over-cured the resin to the FEP and caused the motor on the print arm to entirely burn out. So ended the machine. Thus, for reliability, I must give it a 2/5 stars

 You should also make a "practical" checklist before each print to avoid user error: did you screw the vat in tightly? Did you secure the build plate to the printing arm? So on. So, for ease of use, for beginners this is an alright printer. It gets a good score for that.  Finally, let's talk about reliability
