Betrayal at House on the Hill
Betrayal at House on the Hill: Third Edition review – Horror board game’s greatest and messiest hits
ded, the game still has its fair share of duds. The handful of haunts I experienced firsthand while writing this review were fairly average. None of them have been as miserably simple as the ‘kill these spiders’ kind - though there are a few of those featured in Third Edition - but they’ve not reached the kind of creative heights found in the Widow’s Walk expansion released for Betrayal’s previous edition

Battlestar Galactica: The Board Game
Fan-Created Mod Reinvents the Battlestar Galactica Board Game
Such was the the case with the Battlestar Galactica, a game cut off at the knees last year when Indie Boards & Cards published The Resistance. This new game on the block played in a fraction of the time with as much if not more suspense, relegating Battlestar Galactica to the back of the game closet. Yet while I primarily play games as a test of skill, there is something to be said for an enjoyable theme

Complexity

Betrayal at House on the Hill
Hasbro teases Betrayal at House on the Hill: 3rd Edition
The second edition was supposed to help clean up the many, many errors and errata in the first edition. 2016 then brought us the first expansion, Widow’s Walk. However, both the second edition and the expansion still had issues with errors and production issues as well (like the health trackers)

Battlestar Galactica: The Board Game
Battlestar Galactica: The Board Game
Or are they Cylons bent on destroying Humanity? If your gaming group enjoys highly-thematic political intrigue, and can handle some good-natured infighting and backstabbing, you'll enjoy Battlestar Galactica. If you like playing a game where there is a continuous challenge, and victory is always a very close call, Battlestar Galactica is for you. If you're a fan of the hit Sci Fi Channel show, and want to simulate the twists and turns on your game table, then Battlestar Galactica is the game you have been waiting for!

Battlestar Galactica: The Board Game
Fun and Deceptive
I want to start out this review saying that this is the best board game I have ever played. I've never seen a game make you so paranoid and unwilling to work with people unless you have to and it stay so fun. Players who are new to the game will be slightly overwhelmed with the seeming complexity of...

Betrayal at House on the Hill
My Favorite Board Game is a Disaster and I Don't Care
It’s not a deck builder, 4X, or area control game that requires to have preexisting knowledge of the game. Betrayal is a simple game that welcomes players of every skill level and age (pending thematic content) for a night of pulp horror stories, murder, and a lot of laughs. It’s certainly not the ideal game for everyone, especially those in search of heated competition, but it does allow anyone to join which immediately makes it a winner in my book

Betrayal at House on the Hill
Great Game, Poor Quality
I would like to start by saying that Betrayal is one of my all time favorite games. If I'm rating this based on the overall gameplay, I would give it a 4/5 stars. Only 4 stars because, as many other reviewers have mentioned, there are many haunts that are lacking details that can make the gameplay r...

Battlestar Galactica: The Board Game
Battlestar Galactica’s beloved board game is back, but in Arkham Horror form
It was a potent mix of thematic event cards and cunning deception that has given the game an extraordinary reputation among hobbyists.

Game Length

Betrayal at House on the Hill
Full of evil content
We got this for Christmas in hopes it would be a fun monster like game. Instead it us packed full of evil such as a possession, demons, a ouji board, a pentagram etc. I advise no one to purchase this game. Ours is currently sitting in the garbage at the end of the driveway.

Battlestar Galactica: The Board Game
Awesome game
If you and your friends enjoy the BSG reimagined series, get this game. It's a good game that will take about 2-3 hours (more if you sit and talk for a bit like we do). Plus, as the game progresses, you lose precious resources while someone (or some people depending on the number of players) work ag...

Betrayal at House on the Hill
Great Game! Lots of Possibilities, Maybe not for Everyone.
So this is likely my favorite board game. I bought a backup I like it so much. The playability is great as you build the house randomly and different every game. It takes a few games to get used to the flow, but when you do its pretty straightforward. It's usually a long game..1h+. For kids i just c...

Battlestar Galactica
This is not a little child's gift item; it's for boardgame junkies who can play complex games based on the series. The recipient (26 years old) was delighted with it.
