 I think the Mini-Grip really hits on both of those things. While it leans slightly more towards the "hard use" end of the pool, the Mini-Grip comes close to being a perfectly balanced EDC knife. If you're going to exceed the $50.00 range with one knife, I would recommend that it be this knife

 Super impressed. I guess what I'm saying is that even though fit and finish aren't perfect, you may be perfectly assured they'll make it right if you aren't happy. These people are serious about keeping customers, and I don't doubt this is part of that hefty initial price-tag.  Ease of Maintenance:  Another POTENTIAL problem area

 Put more plainly, it will hold a "utility edge" (can't shave with it but still quite useful) for a really, really long time. Easily a competitor to s30v.  Deployment Method: One-handed ambidextrous. Very old school, field-tested-and-approved thumb studs, both average in size and shape

 I won't wear this knife with suits or khaki pants because it will readily tear them up. Even my cargo shorts and jeans wear noticeably after clipping this knife quite a bit. You can cure this by working the clip and sanding the contact point, but from the factory, beware and guard your pants!  2. Discretion - not great here, either

Fantastic EDC but pocket shredder

 My pinkie is hanging off the back of the thing and so it doesn't really feel like its firmly in my hand. Came very sharp. As Far as the Axis lock goes I have a few knives by a Chinese maker that does it better in my opinion .(yes I know they stole it) Could just be that they fit my hand better

Wanted to love it

  The AXIS lock is very nice, and always feels secure with no movement of the blade. I've had frame and liner locked blades feel like they could move, especially if you opened the blade gently and did not get a firm *click* into place, and this is a very good solution with no drawbacks. I had never used one before this purchase, but it is the most quality locking mechanism I've ever felt and my favorite feature of the knife now.  The overall size is exactly what I wanted

 The grip also feels solid and quality, although some pictures seem "plasticy" in appearance. In my focused attempts at twisting or deforming it did not flex or yield in any way. It looks and feels like a quality piece of functional hardware. No frills or decorations, but strong and useful construction

 I work in an industrial plant and wanted a quality knife that I wouldn't be afraid to use when I need it. I have used it for shaving debris off of rollers, cutting various sized air hoses, plastic tie wraps, small cables, gasket materials, etc..

Great EDC choice

 Sometimes it's smooth sometimes its a bit rough. The blade shape is great, the thumb studs are okay although I prefer holes over studs, as far as studs go they are very functional. My main problem with the knife is the distance between the thumb ramp area on the spine and the finger choil. When I hold the knife I keep wanting to put my index finger on the base of the blade because the finger choil area on the handle is too low on the knife relative to the thumb ramp

It's alright. The materials and quality construction/fit and finish prompt me to give it four stars. If construction wasn't so great and all I had was the design to base my review on I would give it three stars.  The knife came fairly sharp, it shaves hair but can't whittle hair in the air

Solid knife

 My mini grip didn't come super hair shaving sharp out of the box like all my Spyderco knives but it was still better than my kershaw / cold steel knives brand new.  Honestly my only main gripe is how the knife feels in hand. It's not bad, but not comfortable for me. Keep in my mind this is just my opinion

 Their warranty is by far the best I've dealt with in a long time, no questions asked regarding my issue. They're also taking care of me and are sending out a free deep carry pocket clip on top of it (something anyone with a benchmade can request, there's a few other sweet models to choose from). With my main problem taken cared of and putting the knife through it's paces over the weekend I can safely say I love the thing already. The axis lock is nice when needing one handed operation

 The response was very fast, something not very common with other vendors, and pleasant at that. While they where taking care of me on their side I was also speaking with benchmade via email.  I should note that the 2 Sanremu's are the same size as the Benchmade. Being a bigger guy, I need something with a little more heft.  I'm actually very disappointed right now. I really wanted to like the Benchmade, but when it seems like it's of lesser quality (build/tolerance, not blade steel quality) than the other 2, I can't do anything with it, other than return it and buy something else

 I've collected knives for nearly 40 years, and honestly can't believe the lack of quality in this knife. After seeing many posts in blade forums and Facebook groups, it seems that sadly, I'm not alone. Many others I've spoken with have gotten sub-par quality Griptillians. I can understand getting lesser quality when you buy the lower end knives from any manufacturer, but this is just unacceptable

I guess I'll be the first to give this knife a low rating.

Not much I can add to what others have said. Great size, durable and SHARP. The 154CM steel holds an edge for a good long time. Haven't had to try to resharpen yet so I can't say how that will go

  The axis lock isn't the strongest out there but I like how you can flick it open like a normal folder or just pull on the release and swing it open.  The one negative that I have with it is the price. Benchmade still uses 154cm on this model which is a decent steel but I feel as if they should offer a higher grade steel in 2016.

I have to say that it is probably the best folding knife locking mechanism out there for ease of ...

 Knit picks, it's tiny, right? Some people aren't going to like how heavy it is for how small it is. Definitely watch out for that edge up there. Do not cover it with your palm. I've cut both of my palms now doing that

 I'm not sure why they insist on doing that, right? Not everybody's going to love the ATR 13 MOV thing, right? I mean, would it be cooler if they made a different version of this in D2 steel? And maybe they made it G10 on one side, maybe with a steel liner lock or something like that. Yeah, I think I would probably enjoy that a little bit more. I'd probably pay a little bit more money for it too. I think it'd be excellent if they did a lighter version for people who are concerned with those ratios, which is a lot of people understand

CRKT Razelcliffe Folding Knife - Overview and Review

 What's going on YouTube? Metal Complex here and today we've got another interesting knife review slash knife overview to share with you guys.

 This is the very cool and very inexpensive CRKT Razocliff. How cool. This is a very, very inexpensive knife. It will be linked right down in the description.

 I'll just tell you guys right now. This is a $27 knife. Pretty cool. I have a lot to say about it. First off, this knife was sent to me by the good, the great, the Nick Shabazz.

 Not a big knife. Overall length of the Razocliff coming in at, what do you call that? 5.3. It's like five. Well, I keep slipping over here. It's actually now it's five and a quarter. The overall length is five and a quarter.

 Cutting edge. We're going to call that maybe two and an eighth. Maybe I'm sorry. The blade length is two, two and an eight. The cutting edge is actually under two inches. It's like one point. Yeah, Lee. Yeah, one point eight, one point eight five.

 So it's going to be very legal in a lot of places. Some people will be really, really happy with that. This this knife and its size. It's not, you know, like a lot of people might jump and think, well, you know, they're trying to cater to people who have restrictions in certain areas.

 I think partially, but also as just a small, inexpensive utility object. We're going to talk about that a little bit more. I don't have a problem with the with this size, but we'll talk about it.

 Let's go ahead and do some size comparisons up against the Ontario Rat Model 1 and its little brother, the Ontario Rat Model 2. So you can see here. Yeah, this is definitely not a big object. Not at all.

 How about up against the Spyderco PM2 and Para 3. You can see here once again, even up against the Para 3. Still looking pretty teeny tiny.

 And last but not least, the Benchmade Griptilian or in this case, the Ritter Hogue and its little brother, the Mini Griptilian. And again, even the Mini Griptilian looking big next to this guy.

 Let's go ahead and do carry profile. So thickness up against the Spyderco Para 3. This is a steel frame lock. Not a thick knife. Not at all. In fact, it's actually a little bit thinner than the Para 3. So that's kind of neat.

 Let's do length and height up against the PM2 and Para 3. Yeah, no, no issue here. Even with the flipper tab, it's not a tall, long, thick, wide. None of that. It's just not a it's not a big object, right?

 Let's go ahead and do a hardware check on this guy. My stuff is like way over here. What's going on today? As per usual, my tools are very inexpensive, very recommendable. You can find them right down in the description.

 I'm going to guess that that pivot is once again a T8 because that just seems to be the flavor for stuff like this. Yeah, T8 and then the rest of the screws are T6. And there's only two because they go all the way through to the other side.

 Some people don't like that. I actually don't care. But generally the main concern is when it's a steel screw going into a titanium frame. Remember, this is a steel frame. They go all the way through.

 Honestly, I just don't care. And I don't think it's an issue in any case. Pretty minimal hardware. This is a very, very simple construction. If you want to take it apart, it should be pretty easy. Absolutely.

 I mean, the only types of knives that are going to be easier to take apart than this are like the CRKTs with a field strip technology. So no big deal there. Let's go ahead and measure blade stock thickness. Are we going to stand up? Yeah, we are. OK.

 Blade stock thickness on this guy. Not going to be super duper thick. I'm sure coming in at. Yeah, there you go. Not a thick blade. Completely and totally understandable.

 And weight on this guy. The only reason it's going to be a little bit heavier than you might guess or some people might guess is because it's made out of steel.

 So weight 3.28 ounces. Oh my gosh, it's so heavy at three ounces. For me, anything at three ounces or less is ultra lightweight. I'm not so big on the ratio.

 Some people are. Do with this information what you will. For me, this is just not a difficult object to carry, right? Three ounces, three and a quarter ounces. No big deal.

 OK, so this is the Razzle Cliff is actually a collaboration with CRKT and I believe it's John Graham from Graham Knives. You guys remember the the Graham Razzle, right?
