Hey bladeops, honestly, it's actually kind of a sad day at the knife shop. We got word that benchmade is discontinuing the 32 balisong. So here is the box. The benchmade 32 Morpho blue class is no longer going to be produced by benchmade, so whatever we have left in stock is what we have left

 This bow alone does not use Tang pins; instead, it has two pins in the handle pin on this side. Okay and a pin on this side. You see here these two pins and basically the butt end of the Tang. You see how it's that design there the pins kind of line up in between on either side of this point, two things which I like about this

 So you have see if I can explain this. I kind of went over this in the other video to the technologies that they use for this. One benchmade calls next generation kick or pin technology and basically the the actual liner itself, the titanium liner. It'S I guess, um, it's split in the lower district

 I think that's pretty cool looking, but also in the closed position. You have somewhat of a point here, which is a good, improvised impact weapon. Okay, you can use this if you have some now basic pressure, points and stuff like that, you can keep your knife closed and for self-defense, you know, use this. You know a non-lethal manner

 I had a three inch blade. I was awesome, I carried it forever. I end up selling it and now I miss it because they're very hard to find, but this was a perfect replacement for me. I really liked the upgrade in materials and design said that that's it that's the my review of the 32

 Okay. So if I do happen to do any flipping footage, all I'll just put it in here. Well, I read some of the specs. The specs overall is just blade length here is three point: two five inches blade thickness is zero point

 They look very very nice they're, not super smooth those liners on the edge. You can see a little bit of machining on there, but as for the anodizing, it stays there really really. Well, they do a good job, anodizing the liners and the pocket clip on both my 51 and my 32. I'Ve had relatively nowhere in the anodizing, so that's good! You can see here the skeletonized g10 handles they take off a tiny bit of weight, not much

 This is not a stainless steel, but for being a for not being a stainless steel, it is pretty corrosion resistant. So from what I've heard, it's pretty well just like one step away from being stainless, but I do prefer a stainless for ballast songs, a little bit less upkeep, but for the d2 you're also not going to have to sharpen it as much. It'S got a harder steel. Obviously, what you're going to hold the edge a little bit longer, but it's also going to be a little bit harder to sharpen, as well as you're gon na have to make sure it's oiled, just maintain it, so it doesn't rust

 Obviously, the way they temper it it can vary a little bit blade style crown modified spear point weight is two point: seven ounces you've got a pocket clip which is laser engraved titanium. It'S movable forgot to mention that only in a tip-up carry, but you can put it on either side of the bike handle only on the bike handle not the safe handle overall length. Seven point: two: nine inches clothes length is four point: three nine inches sheath material sheath is sold separately. You do get a little pouch

 After a while I ended up needing to take a belt sander to the edge to get a better bevel. I still use the axe and it works great for the price but needed to be properly set up.

 I’m a man that likes things that last so I liked the hickory handle on this one and the blade shape with the dark finished handle really caught my eye. So far I’ve just taken it out back and split some medium to small oak I had laying around but it had no problem at all, and if I planned on splitting anything bigger I would use an axe anyway. I banged the handle a time or two while trying to get the feel of this hatchet but you can’t really tell at all. That’s one thing I should mention, the blade angle and length take a little getting used to but I love it now

  *UPDATE* Downgraded to a 4 star due to the head coming loose and needing to be reseated. Also, the edge needed a little extra need even more work to be a good WORKING camp axe. After a while I ended up needing to take a belt sander to the edge to get a better bevel. I still use the axe and it works great for the price but needed to be properly set up

Fix the edge and it’s pretty good

Really like the look and feel of this product. Didn’t come sharpened as much as I would have liked but I sharpened it myself pretty easily. Main issue when first testing is the handle, after a few chops into wood I could feel a slight wobble in the handle. Wobble isn’t present when not pulling out of wood however

Possibly faulty product, overall worth its cost

The build quality and finish is pretty bad on this axe. I was really disappointed in the product. The edge was dull and uneven. The handle was already dry and splintering and the handle stain came off all over my hands and clothes

 I sharpened the edge before heading out with a grinder and I relied on it for cutting brush and making kindling for camp fire. I added a 3rd picture to my review which shows how it held up after 10 days of constant camp duty use and a full day of chopping trees at my house. Increased the stars to 4 (from my original 2 stars), but would be 5 if the quality control and finish work wasn't so terrible.

 $35 to $45 would be a better price point for this level of quality, not $65.  **UPDATE OCTOBER 27, 2018  After camping with this axe in Oregon for 10 days in the Fall, I would say the durability and use is very good. I sharpened the edge before heading out with a grinder and I relied on it for cutting brush and making kindling for camp fire. I added a 3rd picture to my review which shows how it held up after 10 days of constant camp duty use and a full day of chopping trees at my house

Wish i was kidding but it's the saddest excuse for "quality" I have ever seen from CRKT and I strongly advise you to spend your money somewhere you wont waste it until they remember the craftsmanship we used to love

  Set it up in your bed, dont touch it for weeks because it has a head ache and fap one out in the pouring rain because this thing is gonna walk out on you like it didnt sign a prenup.

 The Freyr lacks weight and the handle was shoddy to say the least. I love the CRKT Woods Chogan, RMJ Berserker ,and the dull Cold Steel Viking (cheapo version) over the Freyr. This is a $40-$50 dollar hatchet not a really worthwhile bushcraft axe/hatchet. I have fire burnished all my handles and they are top notch vs what the Freyr can be

The RMJ Berserker I have chopped alot of kindling and is a formidable defense weapon that can be disassembled and backpacked over the Freyr. I sent the Freyr back to buy another RMJ
