Hey bladeops, honestly, it's actually kind of a sad day at the knife shop. We got word that benchmade is discontinuing the 32 balisong. So here is the box. The benchmade 32 Morpho blue class is no longer going to be produced by benchmade, so whatever we have left in stock is what we have left

 This bow alone does not use Tang pins; instead, it has two pins in the handle pin on this side. Okay and a pin on this side. You see here these two pins and basically the butt end of the Tang. You see how it's that design there the pins kind of line up in between on either side of this point, two things which I like about this

 So you have see if I can explain this. I kind of went over this in the other video to the technologies that they use for this. One benchmade calls next generation kick or pin technology and basically the the actual liner itself, the titanium liner. It'S I guess, um, it's split in the lower district

 I think that's pretty cool looking, but also in the closed position. You have somewhat of a point here, which is a good, improvised impact weapon. Okay, you can use this if you have some now basic pressure, points and stuff like that, you can keep your knife closed and for self-defense, you know, use this. You know a non-lethal manner

 I had a three inch blade. I was awesome, I carried it forever. I end up selling it and now I miss it because they're very hard to find, but this was a perfect replacement for me. I really liked the upgrade in materials and design said that that's it that's the my review of the 32

 Okay. So if I do happen to do any flipping footage, all I'll just put it in here. Well, I read some of the specs. The specs overall is just blade length here is three point: two five inches blade thickness is zero point

 They look very very nice they're, not super smooth those liners on the edge. You can see a little bit of machining on there, but as for the anodizing, it stays there really really. Well, they do a good job, anodizing the liners and the pocket clip on both my 51 and my 32. I'Ve had relatively nowhere in the anodizing, so that's good! You can see here the skeletonized g10 handles they take off a tiny bit of weight, not much

 This is not a stainless steel, but for being a for not being a stainless steel, it is pretty corrosion resistant. So from what I've heard, it's pretty well just like one step away from being stainless, but I do prefer a stainless for ballast songs, a little bit less upkeep, but for the d2 you're also not going to have to sharpen it as much. It'S got a harder steel. Obviously, what you're going to hold the edge a little bit longer, but it's also going to be a little bit harder to sharpen, as well as you're gon na have to make sure it's oiled, just maintain it, so it doesn't rust

 Obviously, the way they temper it it can vary a little bit blade style crown modified spear point weight is two point: seven ounces you've got a pocket clip which is laser engraved titanium. It'S movable forgot to mention that only in a tip-up carry, but you can put it on either side of the bike handle only on the bike handle not the safe handle overall length. Overall, I really like the style, weight, and blade; I really want to keep it, but I will not if I can't manage to get that screw out. If it had come with a usable tool and was assembled with better care I would have paid $100 for it and given 4 stars, though, as I received it,

 Many of the screws are torqued tighter than it can grip the screws and also won't come out. I'd expect to be able to disassemble a knife of this price for general maintenance / cleaning and repairs, but I cannot with the tool that came with it. I'm hoping a proper torx tool will still get it apart, but I'm not sure I'll ever get out the one that's stripped, not to mention having to find a replacement screw (may return it in that case).

 Thankfully I was able to get to the important screw holding the blade and loosen the tension a bit. That and a couple dabs of oil and it flips open well for its weight, but didn't out of the box. No play on blade when open, but the liner lock is sticky to release (oil didn't help, its a pretty thin friction surface). The flipper also has a very sharp edge where you pull it which catches your hand in a pocket, and has made my index finger a bit raw just from flipping it a few dozen times for testing and tuning it

 From there you can gently pull up the face on the non clip side, push the stop pin out of the way, and pivot the plate like opening scissors around the standoff to free the blade (pay close attention to the bearings so you don't lose or flip them upside down). If you are going to grind the flipper, gently remove the top bearing from the blade first so you don't ruin or lose it. From there you can clean up the blade, oil the joint, reassemble and enjoy. During re-assembly, play with the tightness of the pivot screw

 To get the blade out you need to pull the blade pivot screw on the not clip side. Make sure you keep the knife oriented clip side down as the ball bearings are facing up in that position, I'm not sure if they would fall out but I wouldn't recommend testing that theory based on how they looked (I'd do this away from carpets or messy areas in case). From there you can gently pull up the face on the non clip side, push the stop pin out of the way, and pivot the plate like opening scissors around the standoff to free the blade (pay close attention to the bearings so you don't lose or flip them upside down). If you are going to grind the flipper, gently remove the top bearing from the blade first so you don't ruin or lose it

Good design ruined by poor assembly

 In addition, for only $89 you can get a gorgeous Sandalwood Handle CIVIVI Riffle with a Damascus Blade 3.5-Inch Drop Point Blade, so I consider this knife overpriced. If your looking for a similar design and very lightweight knife, they I would highly recommend the Samior G1035 Small Slim Folding Pocket Flipper Knife @ $25 & only 1.3oz

Nice Knife, But Overpriced and I Had Some Flipping Problems

 A handle scale also cracked (it appears to be to thin and therefore weak as well), so I sent it to Boker USA under warranty. I don't have high hopes regarding repair or replacement, and I suspect the fact the liner is titanium causes inherent problems as it's just too soft to do a proper job. It's a joy to carry due to its light weight, and the blade deploys smooth and fast, but given its fragility it's an insane amount of money to spend on a Chinese made knife. Based on my experience I will avoid Boker knives and would suggest others do the same (at the very least with this model in their line of products)

 I've never owned a knife that failed so quickly with such light use, and I'm surprised at the popularity and continued production of the Urban Trapper. The CEO knife is built like a tank in comparison, and is less than half the price for the base model. Not as nice a steel but holds up under much harder use.

 I use knives a lot, but they're mostly handling every day chores and light tasks. This thing developed vertical blade play almost instantly with limited and light use, and it's not correctable (or at least it's not easily correctable) due to its design. The lock bar has so little room to work with any kind of slight tolerance discrepancy = a poor lockup. That can't easily be remedied and sometimes isn't possible under any circumstances

 I can tell now that this knife is durable, wicked sharp and built for the long haul. Would it be the knife I would choose if I knew I'd be using it all day long in a warehouse type setting? No. But that's not what this knife is about. This knife is all about being absurdly effective, durable and looking great doing it

Top quality, excellent and classy EDC knife

Very lightweight but just felt cheap in the hand compared to other knives at this price point. I returned it.

Opens easily.

I prefer this knife over my friend's $300 Benchmade by a long shot. The action is smooth, but satisfyingly heavy. No accidental blade deployments here. The blade is perfectly centered and while there is some degree of side to side play when closed, it's quite minimal, and completely non-existent when opened

The blade itself is beautiful 3.5" VG-10 drop point with what appears to be a hand satin finish. The spine bears your knife's unique serial number. The blade picks up fingerprints relatively quickly, but it's not hard to wipe them off with a soft cloth and regain a satisfying shine

 Blade was shaving sharp out of the box and has been slow to dull. Regular stropping has kept the edge in top shape. I have yet to put it to a stone, which is a rarity for me. Usually they see the stone within a week

As for the handle, I went with the Cocobolo, because I was looking for more of a gentleman's knife for my edc. The titanium frames are solid and sport that classic titanium gray color that I absolutely love (YMMV). The Cocobolo scales are a beautiful affair with a fantastic grain that boasts many shades of red and brown, with a smooth yet textured surface.
