A very sharp blade and a great feeling knife for the price point would definitely buy again and recommend to a friend or family member. The surface of the handle allows you to have a good grip and because of its blade sharpness and the ergonomics of the handle my hand does not get tired from deboning multiple chickens.

Handles well, this knife is awesome especially for my sheep and mule deer prairie hunts where I carry a lot of gear. I didn't know if i'd like the orange but it's great, you never have to look for it. Great purchase

I have been using my KOA D2 elk hunter for the past ten years. It's a great knife, but at the end of last season I decided to start looking at some of the higher end steels. I am on a bit of a quest to find a knife that will remain sufficiently sharp through an entire elk. I have several benchmade pocket knives and I really like them so I decided to try a couple of their hunting knives to see how I like their design/feel and to test the edge holding retention on elk hide

These cold steel knives take a great edge (diamond stick 600 grit), hold it reasonably well, are comfortable to use and last well. I have bought some for other family members.

This is a spendy knife but it is well worth the price. I purchased the firstlite edition knife because it is $30 cheaper on Amazon than anywhere else at the moment.

But that is what CS does well. The cost of this knife in relationship to the functionality and efficacy You would be hard pressed to spend $12 on anything else and get near the quality in a tool.
