The day I received my 0562 in the mail I received other packages so I used it to open a box and the first swipe through the tape I hit a commercial staple and chipped my blade!! I have done that hundreds of times with my other ZT’S and never ever would I think that would happen. I got this knife for an EDC work knife, now I find myself afraid to use it for tasks that I wouldn’t have with my other ZT’S.

Benchmade 940 in S90V and carbon fiber. My dad's gift to me for getting through highschool. Take that that thing everywhere, only had to sharpen it once.

The blade itself is scratched up, but I haven't had any chips. The steel holds a very nice edge, and it seems to last a long time. I decided to re-profile the edge to my liking, and I couldn't really tell the difference between this and s30v in terms of time to sharpen. I'm not saying it isn't better than s30v, but it's not noticeably more difficult to sharpen than s30v

TLDR: It feels great, I LOVE the weight and looks of carbon fiber but doesn't seem like its a good value. I'm not a knife enthusiast or a collector, but I wanted something I could carry and forget its in my pocket for everyday tasks. I like premium products like carbon fiber and the idea behind S90v being a steel that keeps its "working edge" for longer periods of time. Overall I can't say i'm crazy about the product for the price

This is no big deal because benchmade stands by their products, but now I have to send it back because I paid too much for these issues to exist. Really do love the fit and finish of the carbon fiber scales though. The light weight of such a nice sized knife is incredible as well. It feels like I am carrying my much smaller BM Sequel

It's just so well done. It carries very nicely in the pocket, which is beautiful. And you know, it's just a great knife. And yeah, $270 is a bit steep...

Hope this helps ease another’s frustration. My ordeal nearly gave me a stroke before figuring it out.

2) Handle. I got the carbon fiber. Finish is smooth and well chamfered. The knife fits the hand well and feels good to use

For the size, this is easily the lightest knife I've ever encountered. Ultra-lightweight, travels well, pocket clip allows for a reasonably deep pocket carry, and blade length is legal in my state. It looks and feels pretty durable, the open back design makes it a breeze to clean, and it's classy enough that this knife straddles the "gentleman's knife" category. Those who are knowledgable about knives and/or read on any of the knife forums will understand what I mean when I say that this is a perfectly good choice for a "grail knife

Should be 5 stars but I have a problem with one aspect. This knife is amazing. It's beefy but somehow disappears in my jeans pocket and is amazingly weightless. Fit and finish is perfect
