 It literally flies. At assist level 3 it devours any incline. It can easily cruise at 20-25 miles an hour in town traffic. I normally stay in off or level 1 and sometimes 2

 It will do 20 miles an hour on level ground using the throttle control only and no pedaling…nice.  Here is the lowdown on the kit and what you need to add this to your Catrike Order this 1000W Bafang Kit with the 48V/17AH, 46T chainwheel, headlight, and 850C computer console. Do not go with a smaller chainwheel as this motor has way too much power and you do not need the extra gearing. Then contact them and ask them to add in:  a speed sensor extension cable (so that it will reach the wheel)  two brake lever sensors (so you can retain your Avid levers which has the brake locks)  the gear sensor (so that it knows to cut power when you shift)  the installation wrench to install the crankset-motor  Other parts you will need from other vendors (do a web search):  Catrike Battery Mount so you can attach battery to your frame  Bafang Console and Throttle mount to mount the 850C computer console and thumb throttle (no where else to mount them so you need this)  UTcustom torque arm (this is optional but the motor produces so much torque, it’s better to be safe, then sorry)  2 each 6mm x 45mm x 10mm socket head bolts with washers (to replace the QR levers on the Catrike if you have them

 I wanted my daughter to ride with me so I purchased a stock Catrike Villager with the intent of adding a motor to it. After much online research, I opted to buy this kit. Installation took 3 days as I took my time but everything was really basic. End result: Add a 1000 watt motor to a lightweight Catrike and this tadpole is a monster

 Oh, battery charger they give you is very basic, add another one that stops at an 80% charge for better battery life.  Overall, what I paid for this was very overpriced. With much work, the kit works well, but I did have to buy a good amount of extra pieces. I don't think this should be required for a $1300+ kit

 Again, no mention of this in the non-existent instructions. Plan on spending several hundred dollars extra on parts not included and $500 for a better battery. Oh, battery charger they give you is very basic, add another one that stops at an 80% charge for better battery life.  Overall, what I paid for this was very overpriced

So you are buying a bundle of parts put together by the seller. So the question is, did you get all the parts you need and are they of good quality? First, no instructions were included, they did give you some QR codes so you can watch third-party installation videos. This is not a great solution as some of the videos are not great.  As for parts, most were fine quality, but nothing special

 Also, having gone down from a 52 V eight amp hour battery to a 48 V 13 amp hour battery the computer and display screen thing has settings to alternate voltage I have set the settings for the voltage back down to 48 V but the system seems to think it’s still at 52 which drains my battery more than it should. I have reset it multiple times and even forced shut down the system but I cannot seem to get it to realize that it is 48 V I hope that this can be resolved soon. The computer I chose to get was the 500c display.

I guess it’s worth mentioning canyons aero road bike, price is good and direct to consumer service is quickly becoming well established and reliable.

The Cervelo s5 is a work horse aero bike for flat stages and mild climbing. Throw a pair of clip on tri bars and you’ve got a TT bike. Even better with some deep dish wheels. Yes you can still climb it but you’d want to make sure you’ve got a lighter wheel set if possible

Brand new aero road bike between £4000-£5000

 You know you're going fast. The bike above sort of 35 kilometers an hour comes alive, anything below that say: 30 yeah, say 30 kilometers an hour and below it just feels like a nice road bike. I'D say it doesn't feel exceptionally special, but get it at speed and that's when it really sort of sings. It'S also surprisingly comfortable

 Like a sort of a tree of knowledge, sort of thing and the way that we structured is that it's a common aero development platform that we're using we're gon na elaborate on that a little bit in some white papers and documentation we're putting out shortly. But the idea was that we did some general work focusing on different parts of the bike. We called it the zoned arrow study. We split the bike up into seven different zones and from there we just focused on those different areas, and it allowed us to discreetly tackle the problem of the larger bike and rider at the same time, and then the way we kind of describe it is that From that sort of tree of knowledge, phil told us how big the respective branches should be, and in the case of the s5 it was pretty big

 In particular, we set some pretty lofty goals for the arrow stuff, just to really get the guys to push them, because it's getting so hard to find aero gains now, but really our goal was to build a bike that was that used all the kind of knowledge From r5 last year, uh c-series all the things that we've been working on with materials and shape and stiffness and handling and roll that into the arrow segment, so really build a bike that was just beautiful to ride and handles really really well as well as going Considerably faster than anything, how do you get to a bike where what is perfect for the pros but doesn't alienate the the average joe out there, who wants driving may not have the same skills as a pro level rider or is that where the s3 comes in? It'S a big part of what the s3 is and and you're asking a question. That'S that we debate internally often i mean, i think, we're the interesting thing about the bike industry. It'S one of the few industries that that mandates that the pros use the same thing as as consumers or you know, athletes. You know um, you know the downhill ski industry

 I suppose you see people, may it's a bit like the grail from canyon. It'S gon na maybe be a bit controversial for people who might love the look of it or hate the look of it. But why have you eventually come to this two-pronged stem attack? Yeah? There'S there's a couple different reasons i mean the the root of it is aerodynamic. We know that cleaning up that airflow across the top tube and in the entrained area between the rider's shoulders then leads to savings on the body in the wake behind the rider

2019 Cervelo S5 Disc: First look and ride review

The bike certainly does not feel like a featherweight, but it’s by no means overly dense or a complete tank to ride. What I’ve noticed with disc brake bikes is the weight feels very heavily concentrated towards the wheels/bottom of the bike. This can make the bike feel heavier than it is because the balance can be a little odd. Likewise, when lifting the S5 you have to almost hold the top tube 80% back for it to feel balanced in your hand, and the point of balance is a very a short range to find

What I probably like about Di2 the most is it feels like the derailleurs work in tandem to minimize friction. This leads to just a silky smooth shifting and pedaling experience that feels really sublime to interact with. 

I also considered BMC’s line of roadbikes but couldn’t find one that really “spoke” to me. 

 That’s just not an issue at all anymore with Di2. You can jump down 5 gears in a few seconds and with minimal abruptness or huge shocks to the driveline so to speak. 

 Really steep hills this brakes are great. One of the thing is, my confidence is high groaning the disc brakes on this bike. My conference is is good. I haven't felt a lack because I know that every time I pull on the brakes every time I know I'm gon na get the same the same sort of feedback

 Some sort of steering lock, don't worry it has got. Is I've not come unstuck because of the steering lock? I think it's great because I'm lower onto the ground, my center of gravity is lower, so I feel more confident just to being able to tip it in really well, it's fast. It'S really Aero, it's really stiff power transfer is great. I'Ve had no

 They roll awesome. Another, what this also means for you is that if you like the bike, I'm telling you that it's it's ride like a dream, it's awesome to ride. It'S awesome to race that it's good about this bike is that it's good duration, mind the Shimano dura-ace di2 afford to mention that before what does it mean for you? Well, electric, the riding electric is great. I haven't had to to fiddle with it as much as mechanical, but once I say, if you go electric, you never get back

 There'S no other way to say, then the aerodynamics of my bike has been so carefully designed, and so so so much man and woman hours been put into that thing to make it go fast and I've got the numbers behind it. Even some internal testing. It'S just quick, the I mean the faster you go, the more the aerodynamics has an effect going downhill, I'm doing I'm doing like 60, 70. 80, 90 corners on that bike, and it's just so rock steady and stable, so uh from being Aero and fast

Looking from someone that has made the jump already and can shed some light as to what one can expect to make this transition with regards to 1) Feel 2) Performance 3) Overall Experience

I've been riding a Northrock (Rebranded Giant) SR1 bike for almost 2 years now and it has been dead reliable for me. It cost me 600$ from costco and I've only made 2 changes. 1) GP5000 tires and 2) Replica Specialized Power saddle from Amazon.

I bought a bike at this price point to prove to myself that I am truly passionate about this sport. I basically had to earn a nice bike in my mind. I feel like I might be at that point.

Fast forward 2 years and I love the sport. My performance has dramatically increased. I'm riding with really fast guys in really nice bikes and I am able to keep up. We did a 50KM ride last night and averaged 38.6km/hr.  They all have full carbon Cervelo's, Pinarello's, blah blah blah. And hear I am with my  600$ Kirland special. ( I don't care that I don't have a nice bike)

However, in the back of my mind, I'm thinking... How much faster would I be in a Cervelo S5 Disc or a Cannondale SystemSix or a Scott Foil 30.

What to expect from 24lbs Aluminum Road bike to 17lb Carbon Aero Bike

 I want to get like an hour to an hour and a half on it to really feel what it's going to be like, and it's going to be a bit of a first impressions, video on the wireless co2, i've um built one up at the shop last Week but i didn't actually get to take it out for a test ride because it was for a customer. So i'm going to take this out for a test. Ride really see what this new group sets about and um have a look at the bike, and the group set all in kind of one big video, so dan's built this bike up. Obviously this is the cevalo s5 frame he's got it in a 54 centimeter and i almost bought one of these the other day with the black and the white

 He'S got it fitted out. Obviously, with the new oltega group set, it's got an 11 30 on the back with a long cage derailleur. This is obviously because the industry is kind of hitting away from the smaller gears. He'S also got a semi compact on the front

 Now, that's pretty pretty sick bike. I think only one person i know in new zealand actually has that and it's bailly o'donnell, that's bit too big for me to review. But if someone else has one send me a dm on instagram be pretty keen to get on one of those to compare it to this, but yeah as of now. This is definitely the best road bike
