 And then we get over to this side and keep in mind this is what goes on top of my suitcase. This isn't the only thing that I carry, but I love being able to have this now. This opens just like a suitcase does. So this is like a little packing cube that you have built into your bag and when you open it, this is padded as well

 I was looking for something that was good quality with a great price. I do have the away suitcase and that thing has been phenomenal on like 30 trips all around the world. So I decided it was time to bite the bullets and purchase the away bag that goes with my suitcase which is the everywhere bag. I did end up getting the medium

 easy access to whenever I was going through the airports or whenever I was traveling. Now this does zip all the way back up again. Zippers again really really good quality. and then once you have this packed you have everything you need in there

 That is going to be it for this bag. I do like that it is a nylon type of material because that means it's going to be easy to clean See this zips all the way from the bottom and it goes all the way to the top. And then if I wanted these connections which these are heavy duty, these are really really heavy types of snaps and locks. These are not cheap quality you can tell and I will say this is an investment

 and I just love this. Now in this big compartment you have and I have my sunglasses in here, you have one little pouch there, you have another pouch here right there, you have this big zippered compartment and then over on this side you've got a mesh pocket which I love, particularly for cords and things that are weird sizes and then this pocket here, as well as a key fob. Now the key fob actually is double sided, which I love that as a feature because you can loop it around if you want to string something on there. If you're a Disney person, you can put your magic bands on there things along those lines

 I mean, it's got a huge laptop in there, so it certainly isn't lightweight. So this is how I would carry it if I had to take it off of my bigger carry-on. But for the most part, this is going to live on top of my bigger carry-on and I'm not going to actually carry it like this. But you know, sometimes, especially if getting on and off the plane or whatever, I might need to hold it like this

 I fully anticipate to have this for many years. So even though you can absolutely get you know, cheap backpacks, cheap personal item bags to me at this price point it is a very good value if you use this three, four five years. If you look at the cost per use it's actually very low. And having a bag that is reliably there for me and will hold everything that I need and be ergonomic and comfortable that is a win

Away Travel NEW Everywhere Bag Review!

 Even went to the TravelPro website to see if the colors tracked with those on amazon and they do--except they aren't. Not returning it since the color is neutral and will go with about anything, but it is very peculiar. Even the box it came in indicated that it was Champagne. So if you want a great bag in a "magic mystery" color, go for it

This is a great bag and I am returning for a different color. Anyone who wants the Dusty Rose needs to know that it is far more dusty than rose, almost a brown mauve and not at all light the light color version pictured. Look forward to its utility for travel and ease of attaching to a carry on bag.  UPDATE: I returned the Dusty Rose and replaced it with Champagne which astounds since I've never had a glass of steel gray champagne

 *Post first real use a noted a design flaw - the strap on the back of the tote is too thin for this size tote and does not sit/move easily on top of carry on luggage when full. The strap could be twice as wide w/corresponding Velcro and strung tighter for snug fit over suitcase handles (which it currently does not). It did however fit under a Southwest seat.

 So I ultimately decided to go with the everywhere bag just because I thought it'd be a little more convenient and I wouldn't it wouldn't restrict where I would be able to bring it to? Um, so yeah, we're just gonna get started with the unboxing. They offer a lot of colors for this bag as well, but I ultimately decided to get the coasts and that's like a like a sky-blue You guys will see this. OH It also comes inside a dust bag with a card. This one's a little different from the suitcase cards

 but the bag itself. it's very stiff. The material that it's made out of is it. It looks like it's pretty forgiving, but once you stuff a lot of stuff in there, it becomes very stiff

 Seems to be the perfect size, but won’ really know for sure until I use it on a trip. The attachable crossbody/shoulder strap will be very useful when my hands are filled with other luggage and paperwork. This is a nice looking, study, well designed bag.

So I decided to order the new Everywhere bag from Away, which is part of their duffel bag collection. Away currently has four different type of Everywhere bags, the first one being the original Everywhere Bag, which I think they are starting to phase out since they now have the new Everywhere bag that has some modifications. The most notable one being that there is now a separate compartment to put your laptop in instead of in the original Everywhere bag

I am planning on taking a two week long trip to Russia. I am flying economy on Finnair and am allowed one carry-on that can be US domestic size as far as measurements go, but it is limited in weight to 17.5 pounds. I do also do not want to check a bag as I have a tight connecting flight, and I do not want to arrive without my luggage

 This bag is well built, has plenty of organization, is lightweight, has numerous carry options, and is sized to specs. This should be a great addition for domestic airline travel or for those who have serious luggage restrictions.

 This is a magnetic fidlock buckle so there's a little pull tab here that enables you to undo it. Um, so if again, if you like fancy materials like this, like Black, Ember is totally your brand. I just think they go all out with materials and things like that and uh, their components as well. The trade-off can sometimes be weight

 At first I was like why the heck is there a giant buckle in here and I was like oh, black Amber loves their materials. So there we go. But actually it's very functional and this is what I'm talking about when I kind of like the dump slings just where you have access to this right away, but since this opens clam shell. if you're wearing like waist pack style or sling style, you open this up

Black Ember TKS (Tech-Kit Sling) Review (2 Weeks of Use)

In this review, we’ll be taking a look at what Black Ember brings to the table with its TKS (Tech Kit Sling), which is a hybrid between a sling and a tech pouch. You can probably already spot a few familiar features from the photo above, one of which being the zippers, but there’s much more to unpack. If you’re a fan of Hypalon, Fidlock, and just great materials in general, the TKS delivers in spades. 

 Near the bottom of the frame sheet is a Hypalon pen loop that holds well thanks to how grippy the material is. The downside is it’s not stretchable for bigger pens like permanent markers.

With its strap tucked back into the back panel, the TKS looks less like a sling and more like a tech pouch. It’s a clean look that keeps your desk less messy when it’s fulfilling its role as a one-stop pouch for all your tech goodies. Whether it’s across your black rain shell or sitting on your desk, the TKS fits in well. 

The TKS has a somewhat boxy, pill-like profile that doesn’t stand out too much, instead opting for a more subdued aesthetic. The black Microhex HTX fabric—the only available color at the time of writing, by the way—is contrasted only by the more zipper elements running across the front and the top of the main body. Squint a bit, and the Hypalon zipper pulls almost resemble whiskers—all of which have Black Ember branding on them. They’re tastefully applied, however, and not in-your-face by any means
