I've been looking for new skis (First pair, only rented until now) and I'm a bit confused. I ski for about 9-10 years, but very occasionally, sometimes 2 times a year, sometimes once in 4 years. I'd call myself intermediate (here in Czech Republic i can easily ski a red, struggling a bit on the blacks but mostly manage to get them down without a fall). I ski on groomers, so the typical ski resort slope, but recently I started getting a bit bored on carving skis (Wide nose and tail, minimum under foot) and I'd love to throw in some tricks (once i learn them haha), hit some jumps, ski switch etc. But I'll mostly still ski groomers.

My question is, are there any twin tipped skis, or atleast partially twin twipped skis that I can use for normal carving on groomers and at the same time do the above mentionted? And which length would be great for me? (Intermediate, 55kg, 181cm). Is it too much to ask from one pair of skis?

At 230 lbs I would never suggest a lightweight ski like the Bent Chetler 100.  If you do it anyway, the 188cm and it's not even close.

Bent Chetler 100 length recommendation

I could have gotten away with the 177 because they are rockered but I'm happy with what I got since they are more nimble. I also have the bent chetler 100 set up with pin bindings for touring. It's a really fun ski and unlike the enforcer 110s, the chetler wants to get in the air. I ski slower when touring so that leaves a lot of room for playing around on natural features and what's where the bent chetler shines

I've been skiing on a set of Rossignol S3's @ 168cm.  Ski shop guys have given me shit saying it was never a good ski but I've enjoyed the crud out of them.  Decent skier, no real tricks but aggressive enough to have a blast.  Trying to find a good do it all ski with a wide waist so that I can ski powder on great days.  Looking @ the Armada ARV106 and Bent Chetler 100, but also like the line, K2, and J skis.  Input??

Size??  I love the 168 size but everyone is making 164cm or 172cm.

Need new skis! Size? and Ski input please. 5'7" Tall 160#.

 It is very solid in powder and floats well, I even have my binding mountain 2 cm up from factory. I have no experience in touring but these skis rip.

I want a 1 ski-quiver that would probably be 80-90% resort and 10-20% backcountry. I've done a lot of research and this is what I came up with. I am not 100% sure on the boots, but I know someone who has them and they have no complaints (plus, they are 200 bucks off). 

I am 6'2, 170 lbs, I would consider myself high intermediate into expert.

I would say that I ski pretty aggressively (park, moguls, trees, etc) and I want a binding that I can trust on the downs. Another upside to the CAST is that I would not need to purchase the upgrade right away (I think) and I can purchase them at a later date without too much trouble. 

Ive done about no research on the boots yet but I am planning on doing so before I purchase them. Is there any blaring problems with them or are they good boots? Are there any good reviews you can point me to?

Is Resort/Backcountry setup good for my needs?

 Something that will track through crud, but doesn't need to be going top speed to enjoy.

A fun energetic ride that lets you ski how you want.

I am 6'2" and 210lbs. Snow conditions were less than ideal, hard pack groom and off piste was solid ice which never corned up. These skis were pretty nondescript but in all fairness they were too short for me at 182cm. They have a solid reputation so I want to be reasonable in passing judgement

 I can definitely testify like I was saying regarding the ice it's definitely a very strong ski going through the snow which is really great. The conclusion I have on these skis is it's definitely one of the most durable skis I've ever ridden and that's because of its structural durability and a safe bet for a serious East Coast rider that's going to be riding consistently even if the conditions aren't great. I personally like more play in my skis which is why I'm actually selling these bad boys to go with a more freestyle ski but all in all very clean and high-end ski ride. Hopefully this gave you guys some more details about the ski and like and comment if you have any questions I will be coming out with some more ski reviews and videos so subscribe if you're interested

 Definitely not a great freestyle ski. If you're a very stiff kind of rider you can play around with it but in my personal opinion definitely not even close to a freestyle ski. Anti-chip tip and tail cap. As you can see here one of the first times riding this ski I definitely chipped the top and kind of the top of the ski here got pretty messed up so it's definitely a durable ski but the top is definitely not as strong and durable as they say it is

 The flex rating is a 7, 1 being soft, 10 being stiff. Definitely a super stiff ski in my opinion but that's pretty good for when you're just cruising down the mountain. The shape of the ski is a free ride flat tail. Traditional flat tail design is built for speed, ultimate edge grip and control throughout charging turns

 Starting off with the details of this ski, Faction writes, a frontside and

 The Faction Dictator 1.0 FG Skis turn and burn like nothing else on a hard

 pack and don't leave you at the station when a surprise storm hits overnight. The

 FG serious skis are more user-friendly than the regular Dictator line and will

 have you feeling great in the short order. So one of the main points they

 have there is when it hasn't snowed in weeks. I'm an ice coast rider and this

 ski is amazing on the ice coast. You ride through straight ice and not even

 notice because the edges are so sharp on this ski and the ski is super stiff so

 there's really no chatter and it's a great ski for cruising fast and ripping

 down the hill but definitely no play so it's a bad option for anything freestyle
