 You can still run most of your games but with a serious performance hit and no fan noise. If you have headphones you'll probably not notice either way.

Solid laptop that runs everything on ultra

 Battery life is pretty darn good considering this thing has a 2060 in it (same idea for the 2070 model). Small things such as the mic and webcam are good as well and there is generally great ease of use.

 You can tell the difference between playing Forza 4 on this Razer and the Razer Blade 17 Pro 2017 model. The 2017 model had G-Sync built in which made gameplay a bit smoother. This model has noticeable motion blur when playing high-end games. 2

 See how the fire burns in Hitman 3. The RTX 2080 Super Max-Q graphics card does its job with ease. I only give it 3 stars due to the following: 1. Its advertised as G-Sync capable, but the screen itself isn't G-Sync

 It only has a 120hz refresh rate, less than the 300hz you get on the non-4k model. For serious gamers, this lower refresh rate hinders the quality screenplay on demanding games. Also, the Max-Q variant of the RTX 2080 Super lowers the power output by a lot. To keep the battery running and to lower fan noise, the Max-Q kicks in during heavy gaming and throttles the gpu to 11000 mhz, even less than a rtx 2070

Good but could be better

It's large, too large for me. But it does act as a portable gaming and workstation for me, however, I wish the RAM was more. But pro-tip if you desire more than 2 hours of battery life, I recommend downsizing your screen size and avoid 4k resolution. Regardless, this laptop has awesome picture quality, that is touchscreen too!

A beautiful gaming laptop.

 No amount of adjustment in the Windows settings ends these problems.  All said, an stupidity aside, the components and build quality are excellent. This truly is a desktop replacement when it comes to power and graphics performance. Just wish they would fire that one engineer

amazing laptop super fast speed!!! amazing beautiful graphics. Ended up getting 300 HZ FHD 2080 Super i7 10th gen (8 Cores) im able to max out everything and get good frames per second!!! it runs super cool doesnt even get that hot i can also game using the speakers as they get loud and can fill up the room very easily. this is a huge laptop which would replace my desktop as it is always stationed and constantly moving around i dont have space to station a desktop and i can bring this laptop with me everywhere i go from the bedroom to the living room and take it with me on the go. this laptop is very nicely build with aluminium metal and is beautiful

 the only negative thing about this product is the battery life really really sucks (see pic included with review) i dont know if i got a defective unit but my battery last only a hour and a half just browsing the web and streaming youtube videos. for 3200 the battery life is horrible and they claim battery life suppose to last 4 hours which it does not only get an hour and a half of battery and than it goes completely dead. and i have the brightness on low all the time. also the key board to type on this isnt so great as i causes a lot of typos

 In this case, our 130 W RTX 3070 is essentially on par with the 100 W RTX 3080 on the Comet Lake-H Blade Pro. We're able to squeeze out a constant ~115 W GPU board draw on manual Turbo mode versus only ~95 W when on the default balanced mode meaning users must remember to activate Turbo mode and endure maximum fan noise if they wish to exploit the system to its fullest. 

As sleek as the 2019 chassis may be, it could use some actual physical updates beyond simply performance. Dell just launched the Alienware x17 with Cherry mechanical keys that make the Blade 17 keys feel economic in comparison. The lack of a webcam shutter is becoming more difficult to ignore as well and the two high-pitched fans underneath the clickpad should be addressed without impacting airflow.

In review: Razer Blade 17 RTX 3070. Test unit provided by RazerWhile the update to 130 W graphics may sound like a huge boost over 100 W on paper, real-world performance levels are only marginally better since we're still working within the same Ampere family of Nvidia GPUs.
