 I again, as you know, have a narrow foot and you can kind of see i've buckled this in a little bit, but asics makes a little bit of room there for you to buckle it in. May you have a wider foot. How did you feel it fit? So i really liked the fit of the upper, and it reminded me quite a bit of the saucony endorphin pro in terms of the fit and also the lightweight design and build. I will say that this shoe might actually be a little bit wider in the forefoot

 You'Re going to notice, it has kind of diagonal lines, and what that does is you can have very thin open mesh in one part and then a little bit of a stronger mesh weave in the other part, and that lets a ton of air come in. So, as you're coming through, asics tested this with the meta racer as the air is coming through, it cools down the feet, cooler body, lower heart rate, excellent. It breathes really well with this design. The way that it's woven laterally, it can still hold your foot well and keep it in place without having to have like a really thick mesh

 We saw it on yuki, people are posting, you know, pictures on instagram and everybody wants to know is asics coming to the plate with a viable super shoe that i'm gon na say off the bat i'm gon na call this the lannister megan won't know what that Is because she didn't watch game of thrones, but jamie lannister was the king slayer and i'm gon na tell you we might have a king slayer in this show bold, i'm gon na start off bold. He also lost a hand, but that's a whole different story. So meg, where do you want to start with the shoe? I say: let's start with the upper, did you know that this upper is made from recycled water bottles or plastic bottles? I guess they didn't have to have water in them, but it's percent recycled. So before we get even into the performance, this shoe is a great environmental shoe up on the upper here and asics mentioned that that is one of their goals for all their shoes

 Moving forward, they're gon na have a recycled component in the buffer, but who cares if it's environmentally sound, if it doesn't perform well and this upper performs? Well, it is super light. Super breathable meg tell them about the design. So it's just one piece: mesh upper super thin, like thomas said, really breathable. The whole goal of this was just to make it as light as possible and breathable and minimal, but also giving you the structure and support that you need around the heel and collar yeah

 so I don't forget the Sky Plus from ASICS is for stride runners.

 So S, S, so sky think stride, edge think cadence.

 Okay, so I test, I've been testing both.

 It's been very interesting to go back and forth between the two.

 But ASICS Meta, even though they look exactly the same,

 a little confusing for the consumers out there,

 but ASICS Metaspeed Sky Plus think stride,

 meaning the shoe is designed ergonomically and geometrically

 through the midsole and through the drop for runners

 They think about and they hopefully execute

 increasing their stride and lengthening their stride.

 Whereas the ASICS Metaspeed Edge Plus is designed ergonomically

 and geometrically in the drop of the shoe in the midsole

 You know, I'm five feet, five and a half inches.

 On a good day, I'm five feet, six inches,

 Let's dive in, neutral road running shoe,

 not twisting, neutral road racing shoe, I should say,

 All right, unisex sizing with respect to the weight.

 I can't believe I can't find the other shoe.

 Let's put that on the shelf and put this on the scale.

 It is lighter than the Metaspeed Edge Plus, I do believe.

 You can confirm by watching the Metaspeed Edge Plus

 All right, ASICS, I love the heel counter.

 There's no padding there through the heel counter.

 It's a fairly stout, you know, pretty strong.

 but a little bit of a gusset or full gusset

 through that tongue would just be amazing.

 Also adding just a smidge of padding on the tongue

 But again, I know they have to walk that line

 with respect to adding too much to the upper

 and increasing the weight of their shoes, all right?

 So there's my lockdown score and overall score as well.

 We're looking at Flight Foam at Turbo, all right?

 With that nylon, it's a nylon-based foam,

 and it is a completely, okay, it isn't updated.

 It's reminiscent of the first iteration of the Metaspeed Sky.

 And again, this is the Metaspeed Sky Plus, all right?

 So they didn't say Metaspeed Sky 2.0 or 2.5 or what have you

 because they did not consider the shoe a major update

 Just wanted to mention, it is an update,

 And it'll be interesting to see what they roll out in 2023
