It has a nice beefy sound, but still has that bounce that makes it great for dance tracks.  The sequencer is one of its high points, as well as the fact that it has midi in/out, audio in/ out, and  can run off of batteries (making it one of the best portable synths out there).

If you're a bass player, it's E to E key bed range is very appreciated, and the slim keys are actually pretty nice.  (Those are not mini keys as these keys are the normal length, just skinnier)

Hi everyone, what's the best advice you can give to someone who's gonna start in this wonderful world with a Korg monologue.

 The micro freak nails, the interface to the t, striking a great balance between ease of use and complexity, hands-on control and a clever layout on the available front panel real estate programming new sounds is easy and it encourages experimentation and it's just plain good old fun. The mod matrix makes broughting a breeze, and newcomers to synthesizers will also benefit from it that they can see how their favorite presets are set up, and you can just start taking notes from them when you start diving in. So it's basically like a little tutorial in the box. It'S also great for live performance as you get easy access to its most important parameters, as well as the benefit from the eccentric little keyboard and its polyphonic aftertouch number three immutable instrument as that for a magic trick

Sonic LAB - Arturia MicroFreak Hybrid Synthesizer Review

 So, after watching tons of Youtube videos, I decided on the Arturia Microfreak...and I'm glad I did! It has a LOT of sound design potential, and using the Mod Matrix is a joy

 in fact, the entire unit has a much cheaper feel than the brute series. I would have paid another $100 to have it with a higher build quality.  Now on to the good: the sounds are incredible. So much better than the Korg mini/monologue

I'm looking for a cheap analog synth maybe somewhere in the neighborhood of 0-600 USD and that isn't some cheap piece of crap either. I initially was looking at Moog synths but that is way too out of my budget for the time being.

What's a really decent, cheap analog synth?

 As I did my research into the MiniMoog and its various clones/copies, I too was concerned with the tune drifting over time and also due to temperature variations.

I read in a post that the pitch drifts constantly with the oscillators on the Boog. Is this an issue with every unit of the synth, or just bad batches? I haven’t noticed this myself with my unit.

 Let'S get all the modulation off I'll just start with one oscillator, so I'm taking the mix out to the external in and then listen as I turn that up [ Music, ], [ Applause ] definitely get some chaotic instability, [ Music ].
